Rumor: GTA 4 to return to San Andreas? |
Listed in: PS3, Xbox 360 Tags: Rockstar North
Ó
Chances are, if you've played Grand Theft Auto 4 (PS3, Xbox 360)and acquired close to a million dollars, then you know Bellic can afford to pay for a flight to anywhere in the world. The question is, will Rockstar North actually pull off something of the sort in the game?
A sharp-eyed forumgoer named Basa over at gtaforums.com noticed a particular tidbit of interest while playing around on Rockstar's Social Club website. It seems that one of the items that can be found there happens to be a plane ticket for one Mr. Niko Bellic, from Liberty city to San Andreas. This echoes well the previous rumor of other GTA cities as DLC.
While we'd love to see San Andreas become a part of the GTA 4, there's also the possibility that this is just a well-placed easter egg on the website that doesn't really translate into concrete proof of DLC for the game. Either way, feel free to speculate about the possibility of DLC in the comments below.

but you can get lost and be in the middle of nowhere and sometimes you can pedestrians walking around.
but hat Liberty City was a part of CJ's mission so you don't get the ablity to roam around the city probably because they ran out of space? lol
It's on the very last of this page.

If you follow the continuity of the GTA series, the next GTA would have to be set in London.
There has been a big GTA in San Andreas, Vice City, and Liberty City, so the next big step is London.
I think this ticket is nothing but a well placed easter egg that means nothing!

And they probably were too lazy to create additional missions and storyline for liberty city.
because what would be the point in creating a city with nothing going on but people walking around ?
Although they did do this in Assassins Creed...

Are you saying this because the old 2D series had a London game? (Which was AWFUL, by the way.)
There is no continuity. It was destroyed with GTA4... which was purposely done so they could stray from the old stories and start anew.

As long as that doesn't happen, I think this would be pretty *****ing cool.

The original Grand Theft Auto featured three different cities: Liberty City (GTA III and IV), San Andreas (GTA: San Andreas), and Vice City (GTA: Vice City). Following this, two expansions were released that were set in 1960's London.
Explain to me how the continuity was broken with GTA IV then???
And also explain to me how I do not make sense?
Am I speculating? Yes, but it is a speculation based on some evidence. You, on the other hand, are saying nothing and calling me crazy.

its an easter egg, if the DLC featured new islands i doubt it will be anything like the size of san andreas
also san andreas map was *****, theres like 3 tiny areas of interest the rest is either woodland, mountains or desert. rockstar got lazy yet everyone thought it was unbelievable the size, yes the size of absolute nothing
dont go back to SA

During the game we hear a lot of mention of Vice City, near the end of the game Roman says "we can buy a private jet and goto Vice City" but thats nothing really.. they always say stuff like this in GTA games, like in GTA3 and San An they mentioned Carcer City, which was the city in Manhunt (so manhunt is in the same world as gta?)
Also, I dont see a reason to remake Vice City or San Andrea's, well maybe not San Andreas, we could do with a bigger Vice City though, but i'd keep the islands already there and work a little more on it, if it was me. And I think they only remade Liberty City because.. well i think the city was way too small, and they could've done a lot more with it, and they did. The GTA4 story still fits into the timelines set 7 years after GTA3 (Lazlow mentions his other jobs in the other games) and I don't know about you, but I can get my head around it being the same city.. besides, its possible to recreate the whole gta3 game in this city, i'm sure some people will mod the game like they always do. if its PC obviously
Yeah I like to ramble.. sorry

I live in England, and never been to London, and I'm already tired of it playing these games! They should just link Getaway and GTA together so we don't have to go back to London. I'd settle for a GTA Tokyo or some other place rather than ones we've already seen. I bet in a few more years.. i dunno.. lets say 10 lol.. I could imagine them doing a game for each state in america, and then allowing us to play online in a huge GTA America game
Although it wont hurt to finish off New York, not just the city.. I'd prefer the whole state to the city, like San Andrea's
