Rumor: God of War III has online co-op

Kratos has always been a lone wolf. One angry, angry wolf with blades instead of fangs. In God of War III, however, he may just move from being a solitary asskicker to letting someone tag along.

The Gamer Access reports that according to Sony's Retail Loyalty Site, online co-op is in the cards for God of War III. The info is allegedly found on the site's God of War III module. Here's a screenshot:

Without any confirmation from Sony, we'll keep this branded as a rumor for now. Hopefully we hear more about this before the year's out.

Hmmm, from what i've seen, the encounters and gameplay and such have been refined for one player.

I suppose they could just tack on the extra player, increase monster count or health.....but it would probably take away from the gameplay experience. Still, some might not mind that trade off for the ability to play with a buddy...

Didn't have co-op by the way.

MW2, Killzone (not co-op) is all you could come up with.

Resistance 1 an 2 , Uncharted 2 (online co-op), Little big planet, Ninja Gidan Sigma 2, Boarderlands, Call of Duty.

First off, he said deathmatch, not team deathmatch so maybe you should learn how to read.

Second, he was just speculating, not repeating what the article said.

I just took the RLS quiz for GOW3 to verify this, AND it's FAKE! There wasn't a question that asked if GOW3 is going to have online co-op. Instead, this is the question that was actually on the quiz: Set in the realm of brutal Greek mythology, God of War III is a _____________ game that allows players to take on the climatic role of the ex-Spartan warrior, Kratos, as he scales through the intimidating heights of Mt. Olympus and the dark depths of Hell to seek revenge on those who have betrayed him.

The only two answer choices were: 1. single-player and 2. multi-player. Guess which one was the correct answer? Yep, single-player.
