Rumor: God of War III for the PS3 out by 2009? |

A few days ago, God of War II director Cory Barlog was in the news following his departure from Sony. Among other details, Barlog's bombshell of the day was that the studio was indeed working on God of War 3 for the PlayStation 3.
We imagine you're asking: when does Sony expect to see Kratos' third ballad of blood hit the store shelves? According to a company insider, the game wouldn't be out until Christmas 2009. That's close to two years of waiting for us if this speculation proves true.
We advise the readers to take this bit of speculation with a pinch of salt until we can pick up more related info. GoW director David Jaffe did state in a previous interview that he'll be meeting with GoW III's current story team this February. Hopefully, more details will be revealed by then.

Thats a long time.
all GOW games have been released on march so that is the most likely date if not GOW III will be the first one not to follow the tradition.
Its not that long, considering the fact the God of War team were finishing the PSP game like a month ago. Or even now. So to say this wait is long is kinda not true.
I mean this game is supposed to be the most epic of all God of War games, to even think it would be out quick would be insane. Two Years is perfect, i mean its the same amount of time the first one too to be released and the second one.
Although i doubt it this will be released at this date two years do seem right.
doesn't the title kind of make it sound like it should be out in 2008? "By 2009" it's like "you have to be to work by 5" doesn't mean you can show up at 5:59...
