i believe some of it, not all with that many improvements, i think 2.40 isn't "big" enough, even though, ofcourse, that IN-GAME XMB, should include this, which makes it more ......ehhhh ... ....... "reliable". but the things about BGM-stuff, i doubt, unless they mean "newer games only"... ohh, and just to be sure, THIS BGM, stand for "BackGroundMusic, right?

A setting to not show the information box thing on the upper right when you get a message. But with in-game XMB if you ever have a change of heart and want to check if you have any messages you can just pull it up and look at your buddy list ^_^. So your problem is kind of already fixed right now.

I hope they make an option to let the system shutdown automatically once downloads are complete. That is a feature I wish it had.

It's pretty much just what I expected with an in-game XMB. Not much different from the 360's in-game functionality.

It's 2.40, not 2.80 or 3.00. That's why they didn't skip so many numbers. It's just like the PSP scheme. Depending on how big the update actually is (not in file size of course..), the version number usually corresponds to that. It also depends on the actual development time and such.

360 has it...

But it's pretty limited. You can only do private 1 on 1 chats while in-game.

Yeah, use a phone which costs money or just go online with your PS3 and engage in voice/video chat with up to 5 other friends. I don't care too much about voice chat while in a game, but it would be useful for online games that dont support voice chat.

cool update sony is doing good but i dont mean to say sony is not working hard the most thing sony need to update is that ps3 has more video codec to play such as real media(rm,rmvp)

make another account and copy your game saves over. I did that a while ago because sometimes you just want to play in peace. Was that something they were supposed to include or were you just hoping for?

voice chat is there cause that something I really want.. It has voice changer and audio device settings, so maybe voice chat MIGHT be in there.
