Rumor: Final Fantasy Agito 13 cancelled? |

A statement from Square Enix big boss Yoichi Wada has led to questions about the future of Final Fantasy Agito 13. During a company shareholder meeting last week, Wada revealed that one of their mobile games has been put on hold:Concerning the title that connects to the home console, development has been ceased as it is unsuitable at the current time.
The "connects to the console" part seems to point to Final Fantasy Agito 13. The mobile game was supposed to have connectivity features with Final Fantasy 13 for the PS3.
Of course, FF13 character designer Tetsuya Nomura has also said before that Final Fantasy Agito 13 would have to wait until 4G phones become widely available. Japanese company NTT DoCoMo plans to release the first commercial 4G network in 2010.

Good riddance to bad rubbish never intended to ship to North American or European shores.
Who actually *plays* cell phone games, anyways?
I'd much rather play the PS3 versions of the game.
Maybe they're going to put this on the PSP or DS instead. PSP would make a little more sense because then the connectivity thing would be really easy and also PSP sales have been golden.
1st: We would have need to have a particular brand cell phone that only exist in japan to play the game. 2nd: Nobody bought or played the last final fantasy game on cell that squeenix did (it was about FF7, so it would have rocked here on a portable console). 3rd: Cancelled or not, nobody would buy/play/rent/try or even know that this game exist.

Yep... this game should be made for PSP. What is the idea of making mobile phone games anyways? It' so made out of suck and phail. Just like Parasite Eve was also announced for mobile phone...
