Now take this with a grain of salt for now, but if rumors are true, it looks like Disney Interactive and Warren Spector's 2D masterpiece, Epic Mickey, will be heading to the PS3 real soon.

A Spanish website called PSNow! reported earlier the big news, but the article was suddenly pulled down for unknown reasons. But thanks to the interwebs, we got some fresh details about Mickey's PS3 outing. According to reports, the game "will not be a conversion of the game released a few weeks ago for Wii, but an independent development in a parallel since 2008, with an engine optimized to the capabilities of PlayStation 3, which will allow 720p native resolution and a rate of 60 frames per second sustainable."

It will also support the PlayStation Move and "will be available in physical format Blu-ray and through digital download from PlayStation Store." The report also suggest that "the game launch will occur after a period of exclusivity for at least six months given to Nintendo. As expected, the legendary mouse will have a Collector's Edition of the game with a pack containing the film Fantasia and Fantasia 2000 on Blu-ray with bonus content yet to reveal. The official announcement of Epic Mickey for PlayStation 3 will take place at an event to be held on Monday, 3 January in Orlando (Florida) where they show the first trailer for the title and will kick off the first material of this press release."

If they amp up the graphics, adjust a few control issues, this might just be the game I would buy a Move with

I don't understand why everyone can't have the Fantasia movie.. You know that the space isn't going to be 100% filled on the game itself, and as shown with the GoW Collection (the only one I know of) you can have actual movies on the disc. I think it would've been more enticing to purchase the game with the movies on it normally. and that would've been a smarter move for like maybe parents who have a kid. See? That'd be the selling point!

Sounds interesting. Could be pretty neat with move but at this time I'm stuck on v3.41 with my PS3 JB. Having too much fun with it!

You're having too much fun with no PSN access or multiplayer gaming? All for FTP access and emulators? Something must've really changed in emulation!

So the only way to have fun on a PS3 is through PSN? You need to seriously re-think that one.

I've having fun checking out all the HB available, installing my games to the HDD and running them at top speeds as well as playing all my games like normal.

As for multiplayer games, I don't play online games. I don't really need PSN right now, it can wait.

The other 'fun thing' I was able to do was copy over my LOCKED saved game files to a new larger/faster HDD.

So yeah, I've been having fun.

Well, I guess those are valid points so I give you the thumbs up for that.

You can already copy copy-protected saves to a new HDD with the backup utility as it worked fine when I went from a 60gb to a 320gb.

I don't think I've had a game NOT run at full speed off of BD so I'm not sure unless you're referring to framerate or load times...

Multiplayer isn't the only thing fun but you cut yourself off of Netflix, Addons galore, entertaining dev videos, Video Conferencing and such (It's no skype but it's easy enough for extended family)...

I'm holding out until JB-ing presents more. Oh, and on topic, Epic Mickey isn't great on the Wii so it shouldn't matter on the PS3. Awful targeting, no voice overs, weird autosave system... Move controls and 720p with cartoon addon won't save this one...

You can only copy locked saved game files if you do a system to system transfer. That doesn't work if you only have one system and two HDDs. What am I missing? My locked saved games would not transfer. Nothing I did ever got it to work the first time I upgraded my HDD. So I didn't even bother trying this time around. How are you able to transfer locked saves?

The backup utility on the PS3 tells me NO when I try to copy my Rockband game data....I just tried it.

JBing is going to become rampant here pretty soon. PSJailbreak uses a fixed key to installed packages, Sony obviously killed that key. Now we have the private key for installing USB packages so Sony can never block that on existing consoles. Pretty soon everyone will be creating their own keys with a keygen and making their own dongles.

Almost forgot, I have three other devices that give me Netflix and just about all the video's I'll need from the iNet so...no need for the PS3 to do it. Although the GUI on the PS3 is pretty nice.

It's all about load times. Cut in MORE then half. Is it a big deal? Not really, but it sure is nice to not have to wait anymore. Although the downfall to that one is you no longer have time to read anything displayed for your reading pleasure while you wait.
