LittleBigPlanet - Image 1

Rumors of an image importing feature to be added to Media Molecule's LittleBigPlanet by Christmas have been flat-out denied by an LBP community manager.

According to a post by Sam_Protagonist on the PlayStation forums, the feature is technically doable, but the part about a Christmas patch is pure hogwash:

Image importing is very much technically viable which may be what Alex [Evans, co-founder of Media Molecule] is referring to, however there are currently no plans to introduce it for a variety of reasons.

There were no details regarding the "variety of reasons", but off the top of my head I think it has something to do with copyright issues. If you're still gung ho about importing pictures into the game, though, you could always just use a PlayStation Eye.

» Oh darn it. :(

So much for that. I guess I gotta spend a few bucks for a ps eye then. :( I read from what I believe is a reliable source is that it is because the pictures from our hdds would fill up the level space too fast. And how is that different from the ps eye? Hmm... pressure from sony to help sell the ps eye, maybe???
