Rockstar releases patch for GTA 4 |

If you'll log onto Grand Theft Auto 4 (Xbox 360, PS3) today, you'll be pleased to know that a patch should be up for the game on both the PS3 and Xbox 360. Interested in knowing what's new? Well, we have the full list of changes below:
- Fixed an issue where players were unable to enter or exit vehicles in GTA Race.
- Fixed an issue where scripted vehicles were causing games to unexpectedly crash.
- Improved reliability and frequency of PS3 online leaderboard updates.
- Fixed a rare hang some players encountered when moving from a Race or GTA Race lobby into gameplay.
- Fixed a hang that would occur when players were switching teams during the countdown in the lobby.
- Fixed an issue where players were able to get ridiculously high scores from Cops 'n Crooks matches.
- Changed GTA Race and Race so that the last player remaining always receives a reward of 250 dollars.
- Fixed an issue where spectating players would prevent the game from finishing.
- Fixed an issue where players were unable to spectate in Round 2 of Cops 'n Crooks games.
- Changed countdown timer in lobby so that it no longer resets when new players join a game.
- Changed the kick option so that kicked players are no longer brought back to single player.

Sometimes it took 3-5 minutes before the game started because of this... Now I'll play GTA4 online again!
I especially like 11. It was so annoying to connect over and over again.
if you ask me you shouldnt have been getting kicked
and the ones who do, the should suffer it
its alright if your kicked because they dont want you, but if you kicked fro team killing and being a retard constantly changing teams
than the whole playstation should turn off
Now they just need to put out a patch to somehow prevent the game from sucking. They sacrificed fun gameplay (like in GTA3 & VC) for realism. Luckly Saints Row 2 looks like it will be more of a GTA than GTA4.

well that patch didnt help the freezing issue. Was really hoping it would. Thinking maybe i need to sell my 60 gig launch ps3 and buy a 40gig. soo sad that I would have to do that though.
You could be smart and send it in and replace it. IF you have the reciept, tehy exchange your PS3 for free. Mine should be getting back tomorrow, brand new. ^_^
Use a vacuum cleaner on the front air vents near the usb ports, make sure the PS3 is off and unplugged. I did this, my PS3 hasn't crashed at all since.
Already got my refund for GTA4 and spent the money on upgrading my PC.
Ftw. After I got tired of the boring SP after beating the game, and the online is pretty much just "explore and blow ***** up"...the game killed my PS3's disc drive. So I sent in my system, got it fixed for free, and took the game back.
k 1st reply is to the moron who thinks i should exchange my perfectly fine ps3 with full backward compatibility for a piece of crap 40 gig ps3 with no backward compatibility just so i can play the 1 game that doesnt work on it cuz rockstar puts out a lemon.
sorry bud thats not how it works i played thru metal gear solid no issues its not my ps3 and i refuse to echange it for a lesser machine as for use a vacume cleaner its not a dust or heat issue plain and simple rockstar did not test gta4 on emotion chip consoles so now it runs like ***** and crashes on those consoles
buy a 360 and you wont have no problems with backwards and GTA.
