Rockstar Games still not making any announcements on GTA 4 PC |
Ó
Time to dash some hopes, folks. New information has come to light regarding that GTA 4 PC business we found on Malaysia's version of PCGamer. Like it or not, it seems that the subtitle on the cover was a bit misleading. The first bit of info found relates to what the editor of PCGamer said on their forums. AoiTenshi, a PCGamer editor, says the following on their forums in response to a question about the PC version's release date:
Well, so far Rockstar just haven't released the actual date but they are going to release it... well.. if you've been following the GTA series, you should know how Rockstar is.. Haha.
IGN's Grand Theft Auto blog has more on this as well. They contacted a Rockstar Games PR spokesperson about this issue, and it seems the PR spokesperson "confirmed with Rockstar Games that they've made no announcements regarding Grand Theft Auto IV on PC."
While the assumption of having Grand Theft Auto 4 (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3) on the PC seems like a foregone conclusion, making it seem like the big part of your coverage on the game without any actual confirmation tends to lead to an annoying anticlimax, one that might drum up sales in the short term but have negative long-term repercussions.

because all the major gta's were on pc. they skipped VCS and LCS because they weren't major but the others from the beginning, to 3, vc and sa were all on pc. and ppl that say its gonna need a $2000 computer to run, your all stupid. consoles run the game in HD 1920x1080 or 1360x768. thats nowhere near the resolution a computer runs it at. if anything, a computer will have an r option toun it at 800x600 which will take a huge load off the graphics card. as for a processor, that game looks more graphics than anything. if coded right i'm sure you can run it on a decent single core to a dual core. i really don't care, i have a quad core with a 6800 all overclocked. for how large it'll be, should be somewhere less than 8.5gbs because it fit on an xbox 360 dvd.
hardcore gamer. good for you
gta4 still doesnt work on my ps3 60 gb launch console
learn to test your game i have never had any problem with any other games
Dude you are missing something. They fixed that problem months ago and I have a 60 Gig .aunch console to which never had the problem to begin with. Log out of PlayStation Network then try playing the game it may help.
Makes no difference because we all know it is coming...I may be speculating, but the reason why they are keeping quiet with it may have to do with the exclusive 360 content.
