Konami has sent out an official announcement for their Rocket Knight remake. After 15 years, Sparkster put on his rocket pack once again to save a kingdom in shambles.

Reflecting the span of time since the last game, the 2.5D remake sees Sparkster returning to the Kingdom of Zephyrus after 15 years to find his former enemies, the pigs, fighting alongside the opossums against an army of wolves.

Rocket Knight is tracking a 2010 release on PlayStation Network, Xbox Live Arcade , and Steam. Here's a trailer:

» eh..

Not really impressed. If the game play holds true then good. Whatsup with the PS-One graphics though? The original sprites look much better than this.

I played the first game way back when... The graphics look decent, but watching how he moves around, it doesn't look the same. I'm excited they're making a remake, but I'm not sure it will be done right.
