So much for waiting until Thursday. A Japanese retailer has already put White Knight Chronicles 2's release date out on the 'net.
Online game retailer Game Star has the sequel pegged for a July 8 release in Japan. For the importers out there, the MSRP is JP¥ 6,980.
Of course, this is still just an unofficial date, and even if it turns out to be right on the money Famitsu still has a lot of details to reveal about the game.

I enjoyed the game way more than FF 13 as well. WK got me hooked and I finished it the first week I had it. I have had FF since launch and I have yet to finish it because it is so boring. Run in a straight line, look at pretty graphics, hit one button during fights, repeat...
