Now see, this is how you do ads. It's straight forward, simple, and grabs your attention. No obscure, artsy-fartsy signals to look too deep into, kinda like some PS3 ads we've seen of late.

Here's the Resistance 2 'Home Movie' trailer. It shows a kid celebrating his graduation with a bunch of old fogies in their lawn. Oh, you can almost smell the barbeque from there, huh? Now throw that graduation hat into the air as high as you can for a picture... and... GOOD LORDS! WHAT IN NATHAN HALE'S NAME IS THAT---?!

Heh. Nice? Yeeees. The 'home movie'-ness gives it that Cloverfield vibe, only more epic, and... filmed in the 50s. Gotta love Insomniac Games' viral marketing!

A lot like...

This is a lot like the ads for Ratchet: Deadlocked (PS2) that came out over here in Australia. The bots the followed Ratchet were shooting down a tree because there was something stuck in there. The man who's property the tree was on wasn't too happy. Good ads.
