Resistance 2 beta to arrive October 17? |

This is in no way official, but it appears like the public beta for Insomniac Games' Resistance 2 will open on October 17. This piece of hypothesis was deduced from Play.com's order page for the action title.
Apart from the usual details such as price and pre-order release date (November 28, 2008), the product is enlisted as "Resistance 2 (with BETA Game Access)". And on the Special Features section, there lies this curious little note on the Beta.
Pre-Order Resistance 2 from Play.com and receive access to the Resistance 2 BETA. Requires PlayStation Network access. Instructions will be emailed Thursday 16th October. Customers who have already pre-ordered will automatically be included in this offer.
Now, what made this note curious is that there is a very particular date set for when the instructions will be emailed to the beta participants. Of course we do recognize that the beta will be open to the public at any other date than October 17. But it's not like they'll send out instructions for a beta that will happen say, in another month, right?
What can be safely assumed right now is that the beta is just days away from us, and that you can grab your chance to take part in it by pre-ordering from Play.com. Our source link will lead you straight to their Resistance 2 page.

Seen this a day or two ago. Hoping they will start the Beta before the 17th. Can't wait until November 4th!!
This close to launch I think these game companies are releasing betas just for the hype factor.
and more bug's they need to find if so or more beta tester are on the network I guess but then I can be wrong.
