Resident Evil site shows strange video clip |
Ó
It's apparently a teaser to the upcoming Resident Evil 5 (PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360); in fact, the website is named "Resident Evil: Countdown." It's weird to note, however, that the two counters shown on the video clip are going up, and not down. But do feel free to correct us if we read the counters wrong - some people claim that the counters are indeed counting down, just in a weird fashion.
It may not be the promised RE5 trailer (it's due on May 30), but it's an interesting video clip to scrutinize. Oh, you may also spot a young boy walking around in a funny manner. A zombie, perhaps? Click on the Via link to see for yourself.

dont know what it is thats *****ing wierd dude
The top one is indeed counting up, but look at the bottom one it is just toggling from 79:50 and 79:51 so I am guessing that when the top one reaches that time it be complete (the countdown that is).
dude... omg wut the heck is that kind of trailer..
sooo fu#kin wierd it accually started scaring me so i shut it off... the whole timeline thing at the top is freaky as well... this game is gunna be off the hook scary . cant wait :0
Rehorror.net has had this since may 24th and claims:
"The official Resident Evil site is displaying a countdown, with a faux camera shot of the village. The view changes occasionally. It appears the first timer just records the time elapsed since the site went live. Once we're 72 hours away from May 31st the second timer starts counting down."
Aside from that, the clip seems mysterious and interesting on so many levels until they release the official new trailer, only time will tell
That's... not true. They're both going up.
The second timer has already gone up past the 72 hour mark, why would it start counting down FROM 72?
The counter is part of the video, and not a real counter. I observed the counter go up to 81:52, but if I close the window and return to the site, the timer goes back down to 81:42
Is it just me or did anybody else see some white kid walk up to the bus and check it?
I was watching the video for about five minutes and that finally happened. I watched for another few minutes but nothing else appeared.
they already tell u that in the paragragh above
Soooo... I left that site up and just stared at it for quite some time trying to figure things out.
topTimer+bottom Timer=150:30:00
Probably doesn't mean anything, but no matter what time it's at, that's what it equals.
A zombie guy wandered from the grass obscuring the view to the front of the bus where the door is, fumbled around, and then left within the first twenty minutes of viewing the site. (I haven't reloaded to see if it happens again) I haven't seen anything else since then.
Needless to day I'm now totally stoked!!
PS: I'm leaving it up tonight to see if the lighting changes XD
if you look at it now the bottom clock says 72:00:00 and doesnt move so that obviously is going to start counting down from 72hours to the release of the new trailer, but the top counter i still have no idea what its for
i watched it for 2 minutes, saw the guy. then a minute later the camera seemed to be picked up and turned toward some buildings. anyone else see that?
It got turned after a few seconds of watching today... I'm going to leave the site up and see what happens if you let it reach zero. I turned it off when it was at about 58 hours remaining last night. The counters don't seem to work too accurately.
If you watch the video for a long time, the timer gets off track very easily. When you reload the site most likely it goes back to a time different than what you had before. I guess the timer they set up just gets out of sync easily.
Why does everyone keep saying that both timers go up? The bottom timer is counting down on mine
