Resident Evil 5: XBL demo next week, PS3 gets no love, more info for Japan |

Ó

Fresh meat from Famitsu! (Which is already a cue for you: all info below applies for Japan - for now...) The recent issue of the Japanese gaming magazine reveals a bulk of info for Resident Evil 5. Grab your chainsaw wielding Sackboys, this might get bloody.
Demo not for everyone. Famitsu's announced that the Biohazard 5 demo will be available in Xbox Live on December 5. That's next week - rawr! Unfortunately, they didn't mention any PS3 version. If you're feeling bitter about not getting a PSN demo, hear this: not all XBL users will get it either. Turns out that you'll have to be a Gold Member to get it.
There's still no announcement of the demo hitting other regions, but with the way that the XBL network goes, it's safe to assume that North America and Europe may eventually get it right about the same time as Japan does.
The demo itself contains two stages which Capcom's already brought to the game shows in the past. The demo is playable on offline and co-op.
Release date bump up. More good news for Japan: the game gets an early release. It was originally scheduled for March 12, but now, they're saying that it will hit retail shelves (again, in Japan!) on March 5 - a full week ahead of schedule.
Still no news whether the bump up on schedule also applies for other regions. For now, Resident Evil 5 is still dated for a March 13 release in the west. Yes, that's Friday the 13th.
Limited edition. Famitsu also details the limited edition for Biohazard 5. It's going to be exclusively available on Capcom's e-portal. JPÂ¥ 12,800 (around US$ 135) for the limited edition gets you the following:
- 32-page all color art book (with staff commentary)
- BSAA waist pouch (like what Chris Redfield wears in the game)
- 2GB USB memory card shaped like an anti virus item from the game
- packaged in a deluxe box
Capcom's Resident Evil 5 for the PS3 and Xbox 360 is to be released on March 13.

ONLY reason why not is PSN dont have "Gold" members. Then thiers Qore but I dont think Sony would want to affiliate Qore with 360 Gold Members especially with all the complaining. But then again they WOULD do that.

XBL does get their money back. That's 50 bucks a year from millions of players. I'm not sure if it's 50 since I don't have XBL with my 360. I only play online on the PS3.

You honestly believe MS is the reason there no word on a PS3 demo?
It's entirely up to Capcom, a Japanese developer and publisher, how and when they release their demos and on which platforms.
Just because the PS3 demo hasn't been announced doesn't mean it won't be comming.
If it wasn't, Capcom clearly would have said "There's no PS3 demo planned".
Right now, there just aren't any details of a PS3 demo, YET.
