Resident Evil 5 Sheva bares her unlockable costume (or the lack thereof)

The Resident Evil series has been known for unlockable alternate costumes for its playable characters. The latest in the franchise is no exception. Resident Evil 5 will be getting unlockable attires for its characters.

So the PS3/Xbox 360 game is out in Japan already, with North America and Europe getting it this Friday (the 13th). Here we have screenshots from a Japanese gamer who has unlocked Sheva's alt-costume. If I got my facts right, alt costumes are available after beating the game once, while another set is available via Mercenaries Mode.

With that said, here are screencaps from BioHazard 5, showing Sheva's unlockable attire. Whoever took these screenshots sure had some creative angles, making sure that we got all our bases covered (figuratively).

If you notice the screenshot at the very top, we also see a glimpse of Chris Redfield's alternate costume - his S.T.A.R.S. attire, which is different from his BSAA get-up.

yeah, i agree with ptspyder. chill out man!

i really think this whole racism thing surrounding RE5 is just being blown out of proportion. to quote ptspyder, "you call it tasteless, i call it fitting." and i agree with that.

look at ororo munroe. aka storm of the xmen.

when she donned her tribal costume (i can't remember from which story arc), did the whole marvel community explode with all these racial outcries? no. i don't think so. if ever there was, i suppose it wasn't as huge as the one we're seeing for RE5.

everytime i see sheva, i liken her to storm. they kinda fit the same persona - that accounts for physical, mental, emotional, etc. both of them are headstrong independent women. they both originate from africa. they both have some sort of smooth european accent. both of them can seriously kick enemy butt (one of them with guns, one of them with lightning bolts!). and they can make the tribal outfit work.

i don't find anything politically incorrect with storm in her tribal outfit. and neither do i find anything politically incorrect with sheva in hers.

People have their own preferences. He didn't say he had anything against anyone. Just that he didn't find most of them attractive.

As for the tribal outfit, I think it's fitting considering the game does take place in Africa.

RE has had themed costumes before like Cowboy and Gangster outfits.

How are people attracted to people of their own race? That's retarded, there's nothing 'natural' or scientific about that. It's just interest. I'm a black male and I'm more attracted to Caucasian females than black ones. That's just me. But Sheva is pretty hot for a digital chick.

Black people come in all shapes and colors, and dont all have the same features. The same way not all white people have the same features in their face. Unless you want to tell me all white peopel share the same nose....

@landon05 indeed that wasnt racist, everyone nowadays will call anything racist. Sorry to say, but i HATE those loud, bossy black chicks that think they run the joint, now I'm not saying that all black chicks are ugly, cause every race has cute girls. why must you all have to identify what she is? why does it matter? cant you just see her as a human? i look at her and think she is a human, not black or white. yet every time something pops up that has ANY other race than white in it someone just has to point that out. its embarrassing seeing other humans do this. you are just gonna have to accept that there are in fact other races besides white.

Fear... what type of stupid s*** are you saying, I'm sorry that wherever you live you do not see attractive black women, but do not have such a narrow view. You can not tell me Christine Milian or Alicia Keys is not attractive in any way. I mean do not get me wrong I do not see many attractive Asians, but I am lucky enough to have an Asian girlfriend and the most beautiful girl I have ever seen, but there is always something out there.

well, I could say the same for them...but sadly i live in this sh** state of Oklahoma *sighs* and just about all the black people ive met (i'm not talkinb about actual adults here) are JUST LIKE THAT...i know only of.....12 or 13 blacks (guy and girl) that arent like that. Like you said, I can say the same with whites, but there are MUCH less annoying white people than there are black, but we are talking about black people...thats why I brought it up. Hey I'm a Black/Creole (Mixed) 22 year old female in Los Angeles CA and I've been playing the RE5 game with my B/F for a couple of days now.LOL but unfortunately he booted me off and is partnered up with my brother because I kept dying as the second player..Sheva.Now as for her tribal costume I find it very sexy hot and revealing I'd wear it! I weigh 140 lbs and I'm 5'8 I have green eyes I think I'd try out as Sheva if they were casting for her in the Resident Evil 4/5 Movie :)....So bottom line I don't think their isn't any racism involved when it comes to Sheva's character because I find her very adorable
