Scan of Resident Evil 5's Sheva Alomar from Famitsu magazine - Image 1

It seems the "unknown female mercenary" shown in an earlier clip of Capcom's Resident Evil 5finally gets a name - Sheva Alomar. The latest issue of Weekly Famitsu features one of the new female characters in the latest Resident Evil title opposite the male protagonist of the game, Chris Redfield.

The scan above shows some of the more choice screenshots with Sheva on it, including some of the heavy duty armaments she'll be packing for this zombie-filled adventure. She certainly resembles a certain cave-spelunking, brunette bombshell with those double pistols she's wielding.

In any case, we'll most certainly see more of her and the other characters of Resident Evil 5 when Capcom showcases the game, along with several others, in the upcoming E3 2008. Resident Evil 5 is currently slated to be released by 2009 for the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360.

» Zombie filled Adventure? You sure you got that correct?

Cause when I saw the latest video, none of them looked like Zombies, more like Las Plagas, Capcoms totally ditched the zombie concept after RE4 except for REMAKES of 2 and 3 and Umbrella Chronicles.

RE4 didnt have zombies in them either.

Why do people confuse RE5 with Zombies, since there are no longer any zombies in the series except for pre RE4 era.

These dudes you fight now are not zombies, there Las Plagas and there in a whole different league compared to Zombies.

» oh no

Way to get technical about it. las plagas or zombies they're still trying to kill you... blow there heads off. my friend played re4 for the first time the other day and was disappointed there were no zombies. as if it mattered" der this game is no fun I can't kill a village with crazed citizens trying to kill me if they're not zombies..?"
