This shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. So no need to flower this bit of news up. Last December, Capcom's Jun Takeuchi hinted that it might be 2008. Now there are reports that it is indeed 2008.

Jeux France reports that according to Famitsu, Resident Evil 5 (on PS3 and X360)has been delayed until 2008. Famitsu says that the development of the game should take more time than envisioned, and they hope to be preview more things about the game in the current year.

It seems that realistic facial expressions, interactive environments, gameplay affecting weather patterns, and new camera angles need working on.

Oh well, no zombies this year. If you're wondering about why Borat is up there, click our VIA link below, it should lead to a badly mangled online-translation.

I'd rather wait. I've always love the Resident evil series and would hate to see a rushed half baked version because of the popularity of R.E.4

"Capcom came to a conclusion this week in the magazine Famitsu 360 about Resident Evil 5 in preparation about PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. According to the Japanese firm, the development of Resident Evil 5 should take more time than envisaged well that those hope to be able to show new things in the current of the year."

the only part of this that seems a little, uh, lost in translation is the part after "envisaged".

Apart from that, the translation is VERY understanable, so I see no need to compare it to Borat.
