We know that Resident Evil 5: Director's Cut is getting support for Sony's motion controller, but is that the only thing new? Apparently not. Dengeki Online reports that an extra sequence has been added as well. A flashback scene in Resident Evil 5 (Xbox 360, PS3, PC) that takes place in the original mansion will now be playable.

This is good news all around, but most especially to Xbox 360 and PC owners. With Natal specifics still under wraps, it's good to know that even though motion controls may be out, there's still something new there for gamers to enjoy.

Resident Evil 5: Director's Cut is slated for a Spring 2010 release. In the meantime, here's some shaky cam footage from the game's Japanese release courtesy of fansite Biohaze:

» If RE1 with RE5 graphics is included

That'd be the *****. I'm not a graphics whore or anything, but being a big fan of the Resident Evil series, I wouldn't mind playing through the first Resident Evil remade(again.)

I doubt that's what it is and it's probably just a short sequence, but here's hoping.

» let alone graphics change...

If I can play through RE1 with chase cam view again I would gladly do so

» Lame.

It's annoying how this is becoming common. Releasing "Director's Cut" games shortly after the original release. It's just more milking of the consumer.

» WTF!?!?!?!?!

Well, for those that LEARN quickly, we don't buy into games right away. Wait a little while to see if any other news comes out AND pay a smaller price.

I'm waiting to get this game until I buy a new monitor. When I do it'll be a 3D monitor backed by Nvidia. This game was built from the ground up with 3D mind. I played it for a good half hour in 3D and it was AWESOME.
