Rejected beta testers for Warhawk: line up for future betas

Those who didn't get into the Warhawk for PlayStation 3 beta got this polite rejection letter that hints at future beta phases:

Dear G.A.P. member,

Thanks for you recent interest in the Warhawk beta test. At the moment, we have all the beta testers we need for this phase. But don't lose hope: there may be more Warhawk beta test opportunities in the near future. Keep an eye on your inbox. We'll contact you if we have space in any further phases of the Warhawk beta test.

At this point it's not clear how the beta testers in future phases are going to be selected. It's possible that Warhawk will select from the names of people who signed up for this current beta, because it seems a bit unfair for those who got rejected to have to sign up all over again.

And it is a beta worth getting into. Have you seen the videos? Like the recent rocket launcher video and the video before that from the beta? And the gameplay video on defending your base in Warhawk? And the screenshots? This game is looking good - not just in terms of appearance and graphics, but in terms of physics and gameplay.

Warhawk for the PS3 is the successor to Warhawk on the PSOne. It's being developed by Incognito Entertainment (Incog Inc.) and will be published by Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA), and the game is set to be released in September 2007 in North America for about US$ 59.99. There will also be a European release at around that same time.

I didn't get the acceptance email, but after checking the beta login site (https://www.betatest.us.playstation.com/) I fround that I was accepted to participate in the beta! YAY!! I followed the directions to download it from the account management area in the XMB but it wasn't there!!! I did some research on this issue and I'm not the only one having this problem. Other people have contacted sony olny to be told "Too bad, So sad". Worst of all, because they have access to the warhawk beta forums, they're still under the non-disclosure agreement! I've been trying to get ahold of sony but their support line is a "Self Help" line only! Anyone have any Ideas on how to resolve this issue?

Hey Lemony, is there a chance you have sub-accounts that could have received the signup? I've heard of some people having that happen to them.

And for fastdub007, dude, come on - you didn't get selected for the beta along with tons of other people. You're going to skip buying the game because you didn't get selected for a limited beta? You may be missing out on something really cool.

I won't got into details but QJ asked if it was worth it. Yeah. It's totally addicting, and the gameplay and graphics are moving along, which is nice since it started at such a high level. I would just like to point out that I am not in G.A.P. and I was accepted into the beta. Which either means that the initial beta accepted anyone, but they next open ones might just be for G.A.P. members. This is pure speculation though. I didn't get the email till a few days after I checked the beta link and downloaded and started playing. So check the link first.
