Good news, Ratchet & Clank fans! The duo's latest adventure, Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack In Time, has now been given an official release date. And seeing as how it seems to be the status quo nowadays, Sony has also detailed the bonuses you'll get if you pre-order the game. Yep, there's more than one.

A Crack In Time will be available all across the US on October 27. It's quite a ways away, so if you want to make sure you get your copy and opt to place a pre-order, here's what you'll get from participating retailers:
  • Discovery Package – Explore the Insomniac Moon with a special level that resembles the layout of Insomniac Games' studio offices. A fan favorite, the Moon is filled with content that didn't quite make the final game, sort of like deleted scenes on DVDs. You can earn this unlockable on your own, but Insomniac certainly won't make it easy for ya!
  • Power Package – Up your arsenal with an exclusive weapon skin for one of Ratchet's weapons along with extra hit points and Ratchet's brand new Cryo Mine Glove.
  • Bolt Package – Bolster your bolt count with 5,000 free bolts care of Ratchet's most bolt-centric power-ups, the Bolt Magnetizer and Box Basher.
  • Space Package – Drift off into space with an exclusive hot rod skin for Ratchet's ship, the Aphelion, along with 5,000 free bolts and an exclusive Ratchet & Clank PlayStation Home Avatar skin
Oh, and just to whet your appetites even further, here's the official packshot, rocking the new PS3 branding up top:

I realize that it's the final game in the trilogy, but is it really the final real R&C game? I know there are a ton of hints to make it seem like it most likely is, which makes me very sad, but I haven't seen any true confirmation that it is.

Hmm, I wonder if I can finish this 100% in the two weeks before MW2 comes out? I hope so!

Yup, online multiplayer is back. Hopefully it has co-op.

And then shot again.

The box art itself looks great! Its the PS3 branding that looks atrocious.

First the 'new' looks in the 3.0 update (which looks crap IMO) and now the 'new' box art branding.

Do they seem to be taking a step in the opposite direction?
