You won't need to program anything for this mod. All you need are some basic soldering skills and a PS3 controller that you can spare. The total price for the parts needed come out to around US$ 12, still a bit lower than commercial turbo controllers.
All you need to know how to turn your PS3 controller into a rapidfire-equipped device are in the PDF file that you can download below. GBlaster's also put up a new video of the finished mod in action, so you can check that out too.

ive had an argument about this,
he then made a new topic because he didnt want people seeing that this is cheating
IT IS CHEATING
if you care about consoles dont use this, wanna cheat play PC
QJ THIS VIOLATES THE RULES, AND SHOULD BE TAKING DOWN AND DELETED
These kinds of things are why I quit playing socom alltogether.
This is cheating and should not be demonstrated let alone given a tutorial on!

I'm not a SOCOM player but I would be really mad about this if I was...this IS cheating and I never thought QJ would be supportive about it...looks like I was wrong :/
Losers will always find a way to cheat! If your bad with a G3 don't use it! Why the Fck would you go to such heights. Here I thought it was going to be something special. The person that invented this stupid mod, probably fails at FPS games. Then again some people do use turbo controllers and this is a way to save money for some.

This is not cheating. Compaies have made AUTO button controllers for decades. There's probably already PS3 controllers with auto selections.
This isn't against QJ rules either. Are you high or something?
As awesome as this is, not everyone plays ONLINE. Hindering a product because of POSSIBLE ONLINE USE is just plain stupid.
Either way, for those of you crying about socom, doesn't that game have LIMITED ammo? You can't use auto fire in LIMITED ammo situations. If not then....OH WELL.
Either way, you can buy "turbo" controllers for the PS3 from japan and possibly UK.
