No, that byline's does not refer to Mystery Men's Mr. Furious powering the next installment of Rockstar's absolutely inconceivably popular Grand Theft Auto franchise. What it comes from a story run by News4Gamers stating that Grand Theft Auto IV will be powered by the Rockstar Advanced Game Engine (hence the goofy RAGE moniker). If you'd like some screens or videos, run right out and pick yourself up a copy Rockstar Presents Table Tennis, cus that's apparently the first implementation of RAGE.

I should probably add at this point that News4Gamers sited an MTV interview as a source and since we haven't been able to see this interview ourselves you might want to file this in the rumor category. Grain, meet salt - salt, grain, I'm sure you two will get along famously.

.

Before any comments like "GTA IV will have the draw distance of a table tennis court" please consider that the way it its used in Table Tenis does not mean it will be used in the same way for GTA IV, for the reccord the Half life one engine is based on a modified Quake I engine.

anyway the graphs'll be great and the game will be even better than san andreas, so just wait&buy.

#1 your wrong

Half-life 1's engine was not a modified Quake I engine, it was infact a modified Quake II engine.

Hints why GTA for PS3 version might look better

I was reading the June issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly Magazine's cover story, Call of Duty 3, and found some intersteing info. When EGM asked the developers what would be the diffrence between the PS3 and Xbox360 version, do you know what they said? They said, "The Xbox360 and PS3 versions of COD3 will look the same, although the PS3 version will have more light sources and other touches". This why I think the same might happen to the next installment of GTA.
