Qur'an in LittleBigPlanet poster feels "partially responsible" for delay, sends apologies |

NSider has posted an apology at the NeoGaf forums for "partially causing a one week delay of LittleBigPlanet." As you may very well know (or in case you don't know), the ruckus started when a post was made at the EU PlayStation boards yesterday saying that two lines from the Qur'an were used in the music.The poster (with EU PS boards username solid_08) then said that they do find the use of texts from Qur'an in music - we're assuming those outside of religious hymns - as "deeply offending". Here's the exact quote from his post:
We Muslims consider the mixing of music and words from our Holy Quran deeply offending. We hope you would remove that track from the game immediately via an online patch, and make sure that all future shipments of the game disk do not contain it.
And now, NSider (if he is the same as solid_08) is issuing an apology as he feels responsible for Sony's pullout of all LBP discs. According to his new post:

I'm sorry for partially causing a one week delay of LittleBigPlanet. I'm sorry Sony has to go through all the trouble of pulling the game from stores and replacing them with patched versions. I definitely know what it feels like to have a game delayed.
The possibility that Sony would delay the game didn't even cross my mind. I thought that they will do nothing about it for weeks then quietly release a patch much later. I'm sorry. :(
There, there. Delays do happen. As to the legitimacy of the reason behind Sony's pullout, we can go on and on forever debating about it, and still, it wouldn't matter -- because it's Sony's call.
Anyway, it's just a week-long delay. Am sure you can wait a bit more . You've waited longer, right (MGS4's three years in the making and one-time delay, remember)?

I would've said it with fewer curses and in regards to the article, I think it's nice he's taking responsibility for what he did, and Sony could have easily created that patch but for some reason decided to just recall the game, so he's right, he's partially responsible but it's more on the side of Sony.

when i get into playing a game i dont even put attention to the background music. flipping religions...
.....and a muslim. I dont think I would have been offended by the songs. However, It would have caught me off guard to hear a reliigous scripture remixed in some pop song. Now being a musician myself, I can understand the song composer heard something cool and decided to mix it, unaware of its meaning. Heck, I do that in my compositions too. The gentleman who sent Sony the notice, did not expect them to react this way or quickly. That was 100% their call and I respect them for it. Now Mr. solid_08 is apologizing for causing such a ruckus. That shows compassion. The non-civilized crazy muslim some of picture would not have done that. My religious opinion _ Christians are as bad or worse, than any other religion.
