Resistance 2 - Image 1If you haven't checked out any episodes of Sony's Qore online magazine yet, this might convince you to spend some money on the August issue.

According to a post on the US PlayStation.com message boards, the next issue of Qore will be packing a beta invite for Insomniac Games' Resistance 2.

The game's beta is currently scheduled to go live in September. Here's hoping that it'll include a lot of the sweet new weapons that Insomniac CEO Ted Price talked about during E3.

The August issue of Qore will also include features on Lego Batman and DC Universe Online. Each Qore issue goes for US$ 2.99 a pop.

lol, take that people who said Qore was useless.

I got the annual subscription. I just can't see how anyone can justify saying it's a rip off or anything when they pay so much for the PS3 itself, their games, their HD setup if they have any, etc., but when something like this comes alone, they claim it should be free? The word "exclusive" isn't tagged on for no reason. Well, while everyone is out there being a cheapskate, I'll be playing betas, exclusive demos, and free full games. Yeah, I HAD to rub it in.

.

lol but u cant ignore the fact that we got betas free to all was much better, because the majority of gamers rather have the psn as one place for content and such... i really like to see some gamers say " you know what? i want to pay for a seprate program, it seprates me from everybody else, and justifys my purchase!" the truth is the psn should have kept to one program and gave all content to all players, we as gamers dont know if the money for subscriptions are really helping anything to futher the performance, and, as a home beta tester, i beleive all betas should go through the playstation GAP since it seprates the good from the bad a bit.

"the truth is the psn should have kept to one program and gave all content to all players, we as gamers dont know if the money for subscriptions are really helping anything to futher the performance" What you and so many others don't seem to comprehend is that Qore is not Sony, or PSN. It's a third party publishing a zine on PSN. They do not work for PSN or Sony. It's no different than a print magazine getting an exclusive demo or beta access.

@ y2bangali

Yes, there are full free games you can get. This month, they let subscribers download Calling All Cars!.. it's actually a fun little game.

What is Qcore?

Qcore is a show which is basically an advertisement for Playstation Network products, an infomercial of sorts, that they expect you to pay for. I'm guessing it's not selling so well and that's why they're trying this marketing ploy.
