Qmann's predictions: New Killer Instinct, Medal of Honor, CoD5, Spec Ops

If the previous Quartermann predictions and rumors have left you saying something to the effect of "I could have told you that", this new batch of buzz may bring back some enthusiasm. He's got juicy bits on a possible new Killer Instinct game, a delay on Call of Duty 5, a new Medal of Honor title, and a revamped Spec Ops sequel. Let's get started:

Quartermann says that its UK spies have secured intel that Microsoft-owned Rare is spawning a next-gen version of the classic brawler of the 2D era. Scheduled to be called Killer Instinct 3D: Death, Destruction, and Doom, this new fighting game will sport a new combat system and 3D visuals.

In other rumors, Quartermann says that Activision and Treyarch's Call of Duty 5 may slip to February of 2009 instead of late 2008. The devs are under pressure to deliver quality at par with Call of Duty 4 (PC, PS3, Xbox 360), so they're using all the time they can get to make sure all's well.

Call of Duty isn't the only shooting game franchise jumping from World War II to the modern age, it seems. Quartermann says the next Medal of Honor game is set to go off in Afghanistan. Will this be a Cold War scenario or something post-9/11? We'll see.

Lastly, Quartermann spoke of 2K Games and its supposed effort to beef up the Spec Ops franchise. According to EGM's resident rumormonger, the devs and Take-Two are reviving it to be a top-shelf offering in its next outing.

who would ever had thought thered be another moh game

anyway moh is crap now since c0d5 just wiped it off the market

and i dont care if cod6 is delayed to feb 2009 it pretty damn close still if you take into consideration they just released the best game ever in november

although this isnt IF, so its back in the olden days and will be ***** once more

when will they realise theres too many WW games, and bring out some paramilitaries and terroists

first of all its call of duty 4 that revoltionized first person shooters.. and its not call of duty 6 thats coming out 2009 its call of duty 5.. geeez gert it strait.. i accually like medal of honor series better then cod.

awesome, i loved playing KI in the arcades when i was young, and later on my friend's SNES, i only had a genesis.

i was kinda hoping this would happen after M$ bought Rare.

thank god for a lack of original ideas...

I would love to play KI again, even if it was the original as a download. But I only want to play it on PS3.
