PlayStation 3 - Image 1Just when you thought the download binge was over with firmware 1.82, think again. We're letting the guys know that the PlayStation Network site has just updated with new content for the day, featuring a new game, a game demo, and trailers.

The new game available for download is Super Stardust HD, the 1080p-fied remake of the Stardust arcade game that will have players blasting through literal hordes of enemies and asteroids - just prepare the US$ 7.99 needed for your purchase. For the resident Gundam fans, PSN's also readied a demo version of Dynasty Warriors: Gundam. This teaser should give guys an idea of the rampage that will come when Koei's full game ships, and should definitely provide for a reprieve for the guys getting mighty tired of all the preview vids we've been posting before.

And last (but not least), PSN's get several trailers up for grabs. One notable video guys may want to download is the second GTA IV trailer, "Looking For That Special Someone." Other trailers to look out for are "Know Who Killed Me", "Superbad", "License to Wed" and "The Invasion".

Is Super Stardust HD Good?

I am temped to download it but I am just wondering about impressions on it before I spend $8. I watched the video and it seems ok but it said it that you have to defend 5 planets. Is that all this game has as far as backgrounds to fight in? Another thing, how long is this game? The trailer didn't give much detail as far as ships and weapons.

About SSHD:

It has 1 ship (from what i can tell) It also has 3 different weapons: 1 green, that shoots sorta fast and is good for rocks and such, also spreads out more then the blue one. 1 red, kinda like a stream of lava, continuous and is good for "gold" astroids. (also seems to have a lock-on) 1 blue, Shoots very fast and is more close together when upgraded, good v.s. ice bombs, weapons, shields and points power-ups can be found. 5 stages with 5 "phases" in each on, with a boss at the end. Its basically compared to "geometry wars" and "blast factor"; Although, everyone says its better. I love it alot, i played it for 2:30h without even realizing it. *it also has co-op (not online) and leaderboards that are updated from everyone that has internet on when playing it in real time. Only 7.99 and i would pay 15.98 for it.

Morbidly PSN.
