When the economy is the way it is and cash is a little hard to come by, sometimes you gotta cut down on the gaming splurge. For that, Best Buy will soon be stocking ten-dollar PSN Cards in addition to the US$ 20 and US$ 50 that they've already got.

This can be real handy for those small purchases on PSN. There is, however, still no date indicating when it'll be available. This isn't a rumor though, it's quite real, and it's much welcome news.

These are useless, what they need to do is let you pick any amount you'd like to fund with a credit card. For example, rather then $5.00, $10.00, $15.00, etc they should let you enter in any amount.

these are useless

'cause wen u buy an item for 9.99 they charge tax so u really need 10.83

Then you would get a $20 card, genius. $10 card for small purchases, $20 for medium, $50 for huge. So easy, a fifth grader can do it.

i dont think they do charge tax

because i don't remember paying over $10 for the Cod 4 map pack. if they did charge tax, then it is already included in the price.

when i go to buy a psn card, i get charge tax, then i got and enter it into my wallet. then i buy something from the psn store and get charge tax AGAIN... now thats bull*****. i have no idea why it does that. for those who aren't charged tax can you tell me your state/country?

Tax

I buy my cards from stores here in South Dakota. The cards are straight cost 20 or 50 bucks. But when I buy from the PSN it does cost me tax at that point. You should NEVER have to pay tax TWICE otherwise you are being illegally double taxed from as far as I know it. It's like when a restaurant runs out of say broccoli and needs to quick buy some from a grocery store. They have a special ID number to prevent them from being taxed because they will sell the product. It is illegal for taxes to be paid twice on a product but it is possible with the PSN just because technically the card and a PSN download are 2 separate items. It may be a loophole in tax law.

lol tax..

You're supposed to live in California if you live in a state that has tax. PSN charges tax on a few states and I dunno about outside the country.

You can..

Pay by credit card for individual purchases. Look around the store and your system settings.

:)

I don't get charged tax for either the card or the download. And I still have 2 cents in my account to prove it. xD I live in California.

Still it would be nice to be able to put funds in the account without making a purchase.
