BioShock PSM3 cover - Image 1When we first reported the rumor that Take-Two's critically acclaimed BioShock (Xbox 360, PC) may be on its way to the Sony PlayStation 3, it left a lot of eyebrows raised. If you doubted the possibility of this happening, it's time to lower that eyebrow because the buzz has just been confirmed.

CVG just posted a scan of what looks like the next cover of the PSM3 publication with the cover confirming the game's arrival to the PS3. 1UP seconded that report with a confirmation of its own.

According to the site, the July issue of EGM will feature a story on the game's transition across platforms. An interview with new director Jordan Thomas is also set to be published to feed us more on what features this version will have and other details on its Holiday launch.

» WOW

Bioshock was one of the BIG games I had to play for the 360. I am very, VERY happy to see it for PS3 as that implies that we might get a chance at viewing Bioshock2 for PS3 as well!

» meh

Played it on PC.. didnt like it.

Admittedly if it releases on PS3 with a very solid frame rate at high resolution, I may just give it another try. My home theater system provides a better atmosphere for such games than my PC and the fact that the PC version ONLY lets you use an Xbox360 controller or a mouse is just unacceptable.

My Logitech PC controller has all the same features as an Xbox360 controller but for some ungodly reason, that wasnt good enough. As a result the game also failed in terms of controls. Keyboard/Mouse is not for me.

I remember when all the 360 fanboys said Bioshock wouldn't be possible on the PS3 and that it will never happen. I wonder how they will try to spin things around now.

» Nice....

I'm glad to see the PS3 get this title, it's a definite good time. But I own it for my 360 so I won't be reinvesting in this title. One thing I do hope is that this game doesn't suffer a horrible port process, like FEAR, or Lost Planet, it's good to know that now the people who don't own 360s or don't like PC games (like myself), can finally experience this title. I think Take-Two will do a good job porting this game over guess we'll see in the end result.

FANBOY! FIFA 09?!?! LOL

Thats what i call fanboyism. Bioshock was a pretty good game on the 360. im not buying it again for my PS3. But i might rent it to see how well it plays. Its finally running on the hardware it was meant to run on.

Now we only need GeoW 1 and 2. XD

I played Bioshock on the PC and....it was kinda short. Real short. I can't understand why everybody complained about the length of Heavenly Sword when Bioshock wasn't much longer... I played through BS in 2-3 days or so.
