PS3's XMB to allow virtual interaction via PlayStation Eye? |

There are already several rumors floating around about PS3's upcoming in-game XMB, as well as Photoshopped images of an alleged stolen picture of the XMB menu. But that's not all. Another rumor has it that Sony is planning something a bit more high-tech with the PlayStation 3's XMB: interaction via the PlayStation Eye.So how would it work? Apparently, users can use a virtual interaction scheme with the PlayStation Eye, allowing them to browse through the XMB menu with hand motions. So imagine yourself making all those fancy hand movements as you peruse through media such as photos, music, and even your friend's list in the XMB. Cool, yes?
According to the gaming grapevine this feature will be implemented sometime at the end of this year. Will be sniffing out more news about this rumor, so stay tuned as we keep you posted!

It would be cool for about 2 mins then it would just be annoying. The PS Eye never works like you want it to.
Mine works perfectly. Its pretty kool just to have the option (dosnt mean you HAVE to use it).
the ps3 eye works more than perfect.. reconize the hands and sound just perfect... look at games like mesmerize? or in the trial of topoq accessing the menus with your hands... the only bad thing with the eye is that is just 480p so doesn't work for videos and picture but for chat is perfect but if the camera were hd imagine the price!!
Actually, it works just fine . The cam recongnizes every card I play from Eye of Judgement without any mistakes. It's much better than better than the EyeToy cam.
Man my dreams are comming true! The first time I played Mesmerize when I saw how yo can browse menus and accessing things with just moving your hands I thought for my self: "man this would be AWESOME if they do it for the XMB!"

This would be a major thing to brag about to my 360 fanboy friends. I would love for this to be real. I also hope that the in game XMB also means in Blu-Ray and DVD XMB. I hate having to cancel playback to check something out on my XMB so that would be great if they did it.
I would also love DVD and Blu-Ray playback through remote play and access to my PS Eye through remote play.
