This week's been a wild ride for the PlayStation 3. Ain't you glad you got me to sum it all up for you. We've got news from new games, old games getting new remakes, exclusive games, games getting simultaneous releases, and cookies. No we don't have news on cookies but I'm eating some now and you can't have any.
Price cut, or no price cut? That is the question you ask while holding up a skull:
- Publishers are pressuring Sony to give the PlayStation 3 a price cut. Link.
- Rumors are flying that they'll be introducing a US$ 99 price cut soon (link) but Sony brushes it off of course (link).
- Meanwhile, a new PlayStation 3 SKU will be available at Target, bundled with old but well-loved games. Link.
- Is SCE working on a robot peripheral for the PS3? Link.
- The PS3 gets a Gundam-on-demand video service, for all things Gundam. Link.
- Killzone 2 will make converts out of Xbox 360 owners, says Sony. Link.
- Logitech is working on a new Blu-ray controller for the PlayStation 3. Link.
- Sony is aware and is fixing the problems with the PlayStation Store. Link.
- Don't ask people to start calling you Big Daddy now, but you'll be playing the first one ever in BioShock 2: Sea of Dreams. Link.
- While we're on the subject, BioShock fans don't have to worry about the sequel being a timed release. It will be released simultaneously in all versions. Link.
- Capcom will be releasing more PSOne titles on the PlayStation Store. Breath of Fire 4 please, Capcom. Link.
- God of War III is so brutal that even the Internet can't contain it. Link.
- Unreal Tournament III PS3 finally gets the Titan Pack. Link.
- Uncharted 2's traversal and combat has improved by leaps and bounds. Link.
- Electronic Arts remains dodgy on whether Mass Effect 2 will come to the PS3. Link.
- Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 for the PlayStation 3 has been confirmed! Link.
- There's a new game that flew into town called Data-Fly, and word is that it's a PS3 exclusive. Link.
