PS3 version of Devil May Cry 4 uses SIXAXIS, accomplishment features

Devil May Cry 4 Capcom PlayStation 3 - Image 1Hiroyuki Kobayashi recently announced that he wants to focus on upping the ante of Devil May Cry as a series with Devil May Cry 4 (PC, PS3, Xbox 360), rather than competing with other action titles. With the recently released review of the game, we can see how Kobayashi planned to do just that, at least in the PlayStation 3 version.

According to GamePro's review of the PS3 Devil May Cry 4, the controls are great, and makes good use of the SIXAXIS controls to move the camera around. While it's not a ground-breaking feature, it certainly improves the gaming experience a lot.

However, what makes playing DMC4 even more fun is the game's accomplishments feature, where gamers can collect their own achiev--er, accomplishments as they go along in the game, and even check out their friend's accomplishments. Devil May Cry 4 will also make use of the PlayStation Network for ranked games.

It doesn't necessarily mean we are getting accomplishments finally, but it is definitely a start in the right direction, thats for sure. Hopefully it is well done and something that other devs can build upon and use as a reference for future accomplishment feats in titles.

Is that PS3's answer to achievements? or just something in DMC?

I agree with Kaden, it is a start for the ps3 to head for the right direction. It would really be a cool feature for the ps3 to have. What about if the ps3 games had a feature where you unlock points and those points would get accumulated and will be able to be in use for downloading small bonus content for what so ever game; like New costumes, bonus cut scenes, wall paper, new quest, etc; not to the limit where its basically like a bonus pack that you would need to buy; then what would be the point for the PS store. You know buy small bonuses with the points not big add-on content. (not sure if X-Box 360 has this feature)

This is very cool. But im sure the 360 version will have it anyway, so not really a big thing for the PS3. Once home gets here im sure most if not alot of PS3 games will have achievements.
