I would just like to say thank you to you for the high standard your articles have been over the past few weeks. I appreciate them and I'm sure that many other readers here do to.

Anyway onto the actual article content. I'll probably be buying Warhawk and Resistence if available at launch. Resistance has really impressed me over the past few weeks and the inclusion of the tilt sensor in Warhawk appeals to me as well. I really can't wait for November.

I can't wait for Warhawk and Insomniacs Fall of Man. However, I'm still a little shaky about Motor Storm, but as Nintendo (or some executive persons) said, "Playing is Beleiveing", and that's where I stand for that game. However, I love the PS3 and everything it offers already so I'm all in for it.

Dexyn, I wasn't too stoked on Motorstorm myself until I got my hands on it at E3, the game just looked a little too slow in most of the videos I'd seen. That said once I got to playing I had an absolute blast with the game, it's got a sense of reckless old school charm that tickled my NES funnybone. Simple by design but good addictive fun.

I completely agree with you. These games are going to be phenomonal. Warhawk and Resistance are going to be great single player games no doubt about it. But where the PS3 launch titles seem to shine is the multiplayer aspects. Games this good and online will be a blast.

From the most of the E3 commentary, Motorstorm seems to be one of the funnest racers around. I'm not sure if it was gamespot who declared it the best racing game at E3. I can't wait.

These we know for sure will be launch titles but what other titles are have been somewhat confirm to be coming in that launch window? Does anyone have a good list?

I'd take Lair and GT HD with a huge grain of salt personally. Lair looks to be really ambitious and we haven't heard much about it since last year except a short trailer at E3 this year. GT HD isn unlikely a game, and GT hitting launch is almost a laughable thought.

i was contemplating picking up Warhawk at lauch, just because i enjoyed it so much at E3, but now that i know you can get out of your craft and run around on foot, i'm definitely sold on it, as just flight games don't interest me nearly as much. i'm not into Motorstorm, since i don't care much for racers, but the videos i've seen were pretty cool. i'm really looking forward to Resistance, as it's not just your typical WWII shooter. personally, i think developers should create FPSes set in othere war times (The Civil War, WWI, The Roman War, there's so much more to pull from). after playing what the PS3 has to offer, i'm definitely convinced that the system will deliver on all promises this time, and the wait for November gets longer and longer by the day (never mind the irony that the release gets closer by the day).

and to Chris, I appreciate you bringing the positives of the PS3 to light, as the negative press is getting to a degree I've never seen before regarding the system. so thank you very much for that. it seems like the dissenters are grasping at every straw they can to discredit the system. it's like they're so insecure in "their" system's chances, that they have to result to schoolyard namecalling. i think all 3 systems are offering something unique and interesting for their respective target audiences, i'm just more stoked about the PS3. and for those that actually got to see and experience the system first hand, we know what it's capable of, and that it will be worth every cent. that, and there's always the inevitable price drop...

No one mentions Fatal Intertia even though Koei has said a few times over that it's definitely a launch title. But some of the lists I see out there are just wierd, like some say games like DMC are going to be launch titles...and they all vary alot.

You took the words right out of my mouth when you wrote that because it's 100% true. His articles have been a diamond surrounded by a pool of mud when it comes to the quality of journalism about the PS3. Thank you very much Chris!!

are slated to be released at launch, or sometime in November according to the recent OPM and various other gaming publications/sites. Rainbow Six actually comes out on the 5th of November, 12 days before the PS3's launch. so i read. if any of these games make it launch, there will be a lot of happy gamers out there.

As much as I was disappointed in the SEVERE drop in graphic quality of Motorstorm between the last two E3s, I have to say that I enjoyed playing the demo track a lot. Hopefully they can spruce it up a bit before release however.

By judging the first few screenshots those are some very bad graphics. Which pisses me off a bit because IF I buy a $600 console I expect the best damn graphics and FPS on that, and not something I'd see maybe a year and a half ago on the PC.

I demand better.

Graphics look incredible. You should go to the official Resistance: Fall of man website and check out their 720p trailer. This game is beautiful and runs very smooth.

If you want to troll I suggest going to the 360 section of QJ and say Halo sucks and leave the PS3 section to people who actually appreciate excellent varied gaming.

How have they got double the frame rate in multiplayer than in single player? Shouldn't be the other way round? It's madness! Also isn't 30 fps a bit slow by todays standards? I though that PS2 games mainly ran at 60 fps and that Sony was gunning for 120fps on PS3. Why is the framerate so slow?

I have my sensual oils ready come November. I'm going to make love to her like not other. I look into her dark skin like a War Hawk with eyes of passions. I will make her scream for joy and pleassure. I will comfort, and give her attention more I do my own girlfriend. Unlike my human girlfriend, who is lazy and selfish, my PS3 is always ready to give me pleassure.

Moreover, I get extremely exited just thinking about motion sensing which will enable many new positions that just weren't possible before. I will caress her with love as I stick my Blu-Ray inside her, she moans a bit but then lights up and provides me with contant pleassure, as I move side to side with Resistance.

Two hours later... I reach nirvana and soon I feel bore. I want to experience this motor storm with others. I soon beging to enjoy her with multiple people at the same time and she doesnt mind one bit. She continues to play smoothly and teases me with her HD brilliance.

Ahh, I love my PS3.

I dont see how PS2 games would be 60fps since they used 480i output...if they were 60fps, it would serve no benefit. These are launch titles anyways so I wouldnt expect them to all be 1080p at 120fps. Maybe after a few years when TV's can even support 120fps. Long-term thinking is what I am all about so I can appreciate some aspects of PS3.

It's odd on the surface that resistance runs at 30fps in single player mode but 60fps in multiplayer mode, some people have theorised however that all the physics calculations going on in the single player mode would be reduced in multplayer, this makes sense, it would absolutely CHOKE bandwidth otherwise.

Thanks Chris for a fun article. Ever thought of working for a gameing magazine perhaps? Anyways I'm looking forward the most for is Resistance. Warhawk also got my attention even thought I'm not a big fan of flight games, but this game looks to be fun as hell online. For the person who asked which games are going to be at launch, the only ones I know are:
