Sony's definitely having a field day today. Another rumor has been proven to be yet another of their "worst-kept secrets", and am sure the fans couldn't be more happier. With the confirmation of the PS3 Slim, it is therefore no surprise that demand for this mini-me will skyrocket. Just check with Amazon.The online retailer shows on their "Most Popular Items in Video Games" list that the PS3 Slim has leaped all the way to the top of the list as the #1 in demand just mere hours after its announcement.
It also carries the official picture of the console, along with the US$ 299.99 price tag, with a clear "Available for Pre-order" sign. Have you clicked on that "Put to Cart" button yet? You might want to do just that right now, cos according to Amazon:

That's pretty sweet!! Great to see the slim doing so well! :) Wish I waited to purchase one, could of bought me two games with the $100. :(

yea i read on endgadget that on the new slims you wont be able to load linux anymore and its not backwards compatible. But im pretty sure all the real sony fanboys purchased the original so no one should be pissed off about this.
well, if you have a huge library of PS2 games, you probably own a PS2 as well. So actually don't need a BC PS3, so I can't understand that people still complain about BC.
