PS3 Slim sells 40,000 in the UK in week one |

The success stories continue to surface for Sony and the PS3. We already know that sales week-on-week grew 999%, and the Slim has already smashed old Japanese sales records. Adding to those today is MCV UK reporting that the slimmed-down model of the console sold 40,000 units in the United Kingdom in just the first week of release.
The number however, failed to surpass the PS2 Slim's week one sales in the said region, which counted 50,000 units sold. Nonetheless, SCE UK sales director Mark Howsen did tell MCV that SCE is "extremely pleased" with how the console performed in its first week.

Dude stop acting like u have so many dam ps3 games at home.Ps3 hardly has any worthwhile games,only reason its selling is because A.There Xbox broke B.Because no had that high priced sucker.

Killzone 2- Best graphics on consoles this gen Metal Gear Solid 4- 10/10 Motorstorm/Motorstorm: PR: Awesome arcade racers GT5 Prologue/GT5: The most realistic racers ever Resistance/R2: 60 player online, cool game Little Big Planet: Awesome ideas, awesome game. inFamous: Prototype, but better. MAG: 128 VS 128 Uncharted: One of the best action adventure games. Uncharted 2: Sure to be one of the best games yet released. Best game of E3 09. Heavy Rain: Cool innovative concept. Wipeout HD: Wipeout, in HD, need I say more? All those games are aweosme. You say because their XBOX broke, ild say your wrong. It didnt just break it probably broke 5 times. My friend has had his xbox for 3 years, its broke 6 times. High priced. Even before the price cut, if you factored in 1 year of live to play online, a wireless adapter, play and charge kit it costs the same as the PS3. Oh wait one difference, it didnt have a blu-ray player. So go home to the pesky weebol section where you belong.

jealousy is an awful thing! If you have so many great games for the 360 (not including the multiplatforms) then why are you even bothering to type on here, and not playing them? I've nothing against the 360, but I'm sure in hell not paying my hard earned cash on something thats got a 50% chance of dying on me.
this is probably also the same reason that the PS3 is doing well with the price cut, with ex 360 owners fed up with their consoles dying on them for a 4th time at least and the price finally coming down to their level!
