PS3 remotes popping up in stores |

It's interesting to note that even though this particular PS3 accessory was supposed to have already launched since December 7, there really hasn't been much word about it since it was last spotted at CEATEC... until about now. In any case, here it is, and according to the folks of Kotaku, the PS3's Blu-ray Disc (BD) Remote Control is already being spotted in some stores such as GameStop and the like. Selling for US$ 24.99 a pop, at least you can now ask the not-so-technologically-inclined members of your household to play your movies and music while you grab a snack from the kitchen.One common thing which most people have been noticing about the BD remote, though, is that... well... it's not particularly pretty as compared to its Xbox 360 and Wii counterparts.
And they're sort of right.

i just bought it today, its its an essential accessory for the ps3. Its 24 bucks, good deal if you ask me. And the Blue tooth is a plus. I actually like the way it looks, fits the whole PS3 theme.
I like the style Sony is giving the PS3. The entire Home Theater design works. Place a PS3 next to your home electronics and it works. Same cant not be said about the Xbox360 and Wii, they look out of place in any home theater rack. The remote is the same way. Its black, thin, and simple.
I can't say it's pretty but hey... the 360 one isn't pretty too... the one what is pretty is the harmony one... but erm... that one is a universal one... not just for the 360... maybe logitech will make one for the PS3 too... but you can't compare 24 with 130 dollars
That's a great thermometer for blu-ray movie usage by Ps3 owners. Just like everyone who buys the 360 HD-DVD drive will be getting HD-DVD movies, everyone who gets this remote are for certain using the Ps3 as a blu-ray player.
Yeah $24 is a great deal when you can do all that with the controller.... Here Sony take my money, I obviously don't need it too much, when I'm willing to waste it on this crap.
