Sony's Seattle event brings us this Sony PS3 Move demo video, including how SOCOM 4 will play out on it. Not only does the video show us the information, we also gain some insights regarding Zipper Interactive's experience developing for the Move, thanks to a Q&A with Brian Soderberg.

So said Zipper's prez, it was actually easy to do something for the Move. "I was a little skeptical after playing the Wii because it's very casual and SOCOM 4 is more of a care game," he admitted. "Althoug really, we're shooting for a more accessible game. I think the Move does that for us. It's much easier than trying to get both thumbs going."

He also says of Sony's Move:

"Sony took their time and they did some really neat things. Their thing was to be super comprehensive with the full 3D space recognition, plus the full three axis recognition, plus the precision and very low latency. It makes it possible to play al these core games, besides casual games, with such precision. I think the core game players are maybe going to embrace this as well."

Check out the video of the Move demo below. Meanwhile, you can check out the full transcript of Soderberg's interview via the source link below.

Seen the demo,
Not kinda impressed.

1 - its a WII controller, exactly a wii controller with its nun-chuck dont care how they name it(demo:1:40 , And the guy @ 1:20 is confirming it)
2 - It seems you need! a camera in a good position! before u can play the Z-dimension(demo: 1:00)
3 - Also my most disappointment is: @ 1:30 is the guy playing it live. explaining a bit how to use. Watch careful his motion and the arrow in its screen.
It seems there like there is a delay on motion of 500ms(or well 1/2 a second).
aint that annoying^^?

4 - Its so ugly. Gamers controller black. with a baby blue(pink etc) wizard ball on top of it.
Or iknow, since its so round and all. for the 18+ girls, is the a expensive more smooth version of the WiiBrator. Guess u girls like this more

I actually think they both suck in equal amounts. This is why I never liked the Wii, it's too childish and stupid. Why sony, why?

I wonder if you can play Call of Duty using this...

# You can do it already...Guest 2010-04-20 13:02
You can do that already with a Wiimote, just map it to GlovePIE + Bluetooth on your PC and play away at MW2 or Bad Company 2 or any other FPS you wish, works like a charm with the infared. lol.

i Prefer playstation buttons, stronger vibration, and light effects as well as a six axis accelerometer. Whoa, looks like i cant use the wiimote.

i like what sony is doing with their motion controls and i think the tech is quite impressive but this video doesn't sell the controller well.

if you've seen that fighting game demo they have, you start to understand how much better the move is in comparison to the wiimote.

that being said, i don't care for motion controls 8)
