PS3 launch titles Delayed... at least in Europe

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe CEO David Reeves has announced that several PS3 launch titles won't be available until 2007. Christmas, but with Eyetoy described as being "not playable at the moment", Reeves is confident that it "will come before March 2007". The CEO of SCEE is a pretty reliable source, however, Reeves did not make it clear whether these delays are worldwide, or just for the European market.

I can't disagree with Reeves when he says "Without being too arrogant about it, I don't think we worry too much about building up the hype in the first six months, but where the rubber hits the road is going to be when all those hardcore gamers have bought PS3. They have also bought Xbox 360 and they have probably bought Nintendo Wii as well.".

By Reeves' description, I am not a hardcore gamer, seems I only own a PS2, and probably won't buy an Xbox 360 or a Wii. But one things for sure, no matter what the launch titles are, I'll have a 60GB PS3 by this time next year.

Time and time again, everybody continues to say "it all comes down to the games". Well guess what, PS3 is So AWESOME that it doesnt need games!!! You can buy ps3 and sit in your house, it will cure depression, alcoholism, and help you get laid!! That power comes mostly from the Cell. THe power to help get you laid comes from the motion tracking controller, you can wack it while you hold the controller, its kinna like a game.

Again, I emphasize, nobody needs games on ps3, it is so powerful that the games play in tihe 4th dimension, which is RL (real life). RL has really good graphics, but the only game to play is sit at home and look at your ps3.

F*ck the games!!!

maden is gay, you should take your ps3 money and spend it all on cocaine, then you can make a cardboard cutout of ps3 and put it under your TV. IT will pretty much be the same thing, although you will have more fun with the cardboard cutout because you will be higher than all bejuses on 650 dollars worth of coke. (ps, I say 650 because of tax)

You don't pay huge amounts of money, to have it sit in the corner waiting for the good games to come out...Who knows, the price may drop by the time they come..hopefully.

If the games aren't there I wouldn't buy it I would wait untill there is a decent number. Look at how Dreamcast went....

It's going to do as badly as the 360 on launch...in japan, seriously the japanese players did not buy the 360 because there were no games that were worth the 400$ price tag, why shouldn't European and American gamers do the same thing?

Thats true..sadly, here in europe we get games like 6 months later though im probably seeing that games like singstar will probably release first here in europe while others like Heavenly there in US (*****!)

as a xbox fan im so happy u loser are getting nothing but a blue ray dvd player for your money ! this round im going with my long time fav nintendo i havent bought there console since the 64 but wii is absolutly amazing to me and i have to stick with my 360 but for sony ha ha you lose cuz the price is wrong beeeitch

if ya go to eb games or gamestop you can preorder most of the launch titles.

so if there is anything that europe wants really bad they can import since there is no restriction on it.

go check out the games stores and stop being really stupid.
