The devs promises to add more applications (Sony SDK clones) in future updates. Now I know this might not benefit other users, but for others, this could be another step in the PS3 homebrew scene.

programming 101 or electronics 101
basically NO it will never happen, im not sure if this edits game files or what not
but even if it could, it would be minimal editing you would not be capable of editing an entrie game to create remoteplay, i wouldnt say its impossible, but its not going to happen
also youd then have to create a psp client
think of it as editing fifa (or NFL) into GTA IV

Reason it has NOT been hacked is not because of the security, which would easily be hacked, if Sony didnt sue every hacker, who succeeded, you wonder why Dark Alex left the PSP scene after awhile and formed M33, its because he was scared that Sony would come and arrest him.
Sony unlike with PSP, they do come and arrest the hackers, who try to hack PS3, YOUR ARE DEAD WRONG! for thinking PS3 security is hard to hack.
Your more brawn than you are brains, reason hackers dont hack PS3 is because of multiple reasons, Sony will sue, arrest and send anyone they find hacking PS3 to jail or prison, there strict with PS3 like MS is strict on 360.
Truth be told homebrew scene died in 2007 because hackers found an exploit in PS3 firmware and Sony got pissed off because they found out hackers could play PS3 games without the discs and such and Sony paid attorneys to sue them but then Sony sent them to jail.
Its not really because its super tight security but its because Sony will arrest anyone who hacks it. This is there baby, they dont give a **** about PSP because if they did DAX and every other hacker would be in jail.
You guys need to do more research into PS3 hacking, its been done but the people who did it are in jail now.

1st off,
If any person(s) hack the PS3 (And by hack, I mean him, her or they, blocks or bypasses the PS3s' security to allow software/apps/codes etc, not meant to run on the PS3) that person will NOT be going to jail or sued.
Why you ask?
If you have a brain you would know how to leak information from a computer that can't be traced back to you. And I don't know of any person who can hack such a system be that dumb to get locked up as you say.
2nd (It gets better!)
So if info can be leaked without the origins being known, then why don't hackers just make up a little fun team name and leak it onto the internet. That way when PS3 owners get their greedy hands on it, Sony won't be able to make any arrest or sue anybody because too people will have it and no arrest can be made.
3rd (This is good!)
Where would that leave us? Oh yeah, Sony will implement Firmware Updates to keep hackers at bay. Sounding familiar?
"What does it sound like DC''?
"oooo! I know! IT SOUNDS LIKE THE FRIGGIN' PSP"!!!!!
4th
Oh, but Sony doesn't care about the PSP. Well if the PS3 gets hacked will Sony not care about it anymore!? NO they have firmware updates because they do care about their systems.
You sound like a Sony worker trying to scare people. If I had my own team of hackers I'd hack the PS3 and stick a huge neon sign on my house and what Sony gonna do? NOTHING.

Look at the wii scene, teams like Team Twiizers have many websites and even have their stuff copyrighted because they don't make homebrew for playing downloaded games.

I think IF you ever hacked your PS3, you'd just void your warranty. I'm not sure because hacking is funky. Sony will push the boundaries of what's legal and what isn't. Bottom line is that hacks don't lead to someone being sued or arrested.

Oh yes. The Sony gestapo.
