Now that the cat's out of the bag, Capcom is definitely making a push to promote the PS3 version of Lost Planet 2. They showed off a demo at E3, and apparently they'll also be releasing a playable demo on the PlayStation Network before the game's release.

The confirmation was the only thing announced regarding the demo, though, so there's still no word on what it'll contain. The one at E3 featured a four-player co-op battle against a humongous Akrid -- Monster Hunter-style -- so hopefully they also add that into the demo.

Lost Planet 2 is being readied for release later this year. The game will also be available on PC and Xbox 360. While we wait for more news from Capcom, here's a video of the game's E3 demo.

Don't be fooled man. I couldn't even finish the first game because it's way too repetitive. This is like Monster Hunter minus all the customization and with guns.

just how is Lost Planet repetitive..........its nowhere near as repetitive as a fps like call of duty, halo where all you see is your hand and basically point the gun and shoot.........wow so unrepetitive for the whole 10 hour game..............I have never seen a fps that wasnt repetitive but i dont see you complaining about it.................this game is unlike your average fps and actually requires some skill to beat.......i beat it in easy mode and it was after countless deaths and retrys...........surprisingly easy mode in lost planet was harder than your typical fps which required you to have some skills and actually try hard to beat the game
