PS3 gets own Target Gift Cards |
Ó
Are these Target Gift Cards mandatory? The Wii got their blue-glowing Wii Gift Card, and now it's the PS3's turn. We've capped its pic from Target's website, but thanks to Kotaku reader Joaquin, Kotaku also has a much closer look at the PS3 Target Gift Card.
None of these pictures display the Gift Card actually "working," unlike the provided pictures of the Wii Gift Card which had it glowing that blue Wii glow, so everything we say from here is inference and speculation. It's probably supposed to glow red, such that the "Playstation 3" and Target logos glow red against a black background.
Kotaku, on the other hand, thinks it's a fancy "digital display that gets lit up with an eerie blue light." Which doesn't explain the card's appearance at Target's site - unless the card glows in two colors or something. Without a "working" picture of the gift card, we really can't tell.
"Turned off," to be honest, Joaquin's PS3 gift card pic doesn't look too impressive. Not a few Kotaku readers were asking, for example, if those lines across the card's face were deliberate, or was it because "a badger got a hold of it" or something. It would have been nice if Joaquin turned the card on - we mean, it's the least he could have done for Kotaku readers, right? And besides, the Target pic had the lettering glowing red. We wanna see the card glow!

the problem is tha thte person taking the picture used a flash.. which kills the glow for the most part.
if there was no flash used (like the Wii Card pics) you would see that it glows blue.
