right sony has to do something to avoid loosing loads of fans cos its not fair
Im gonna stick with PS3, the games and the functionality of it makes me stick to it and ill just wait for it to be launched in my country. there are still lots good games coming out on PS2 to entertain me and the same counts for PSP!!!
i starting to hate sony so much that i dont know if ill get a ps3 now. i definitly wont be getting a xbox 360 or a wii cause i dont like those consoles but i dont like sony anymore. **** those non-promise keeping bastards $999aus and now i have to wait till march and probably deal with ****** lines with ******* 12yearold ****s and their parents oh and that is if there are even enough of those ******ps3s in store.

They screwed Europe over, but the shortage of Blue Lasers isnt their fault, to be quite fair.
I was planing on getting it later anyway when some good games are available, so its ok by me.
I dont know why anyone will "convert" to Xbox 360 seeing as the 360 has only a few decent games whereas the PS3 has loads!
Some people might buy a 360 out of impatience, but when the PS3 comes out with all its better games, they'll soon buy a PS3.

this is annoying me even more now. Just switched on my ps2 to play a bit of half life and bang its totaly broken. Luckily i have a PSP but even so this is frickin annoying as there is no point in getting a replacement ps2 but still have to wait till ruddy march.

still, this news does suck. it's interesting seeing the ps3 'community' try to be strong about it, yyou can just see the xbots smiling deeply... still, the thing DOES still launch in november, whether or not it's in europe... so we'll still get to see something out of ps3.
I can't say that I blame anyone who is planning to buy a XBOX 360 now. Sony promised a spring 2006 launch that they delayed until fall 2006, and now the PAL territories have to wait until spring 2007? Why wait a whole year to enjoy games? Why wait on Sony when everyone else will be playing Xbox on Wii games online actually having fun?
I am one of Sony's biggest fans, but this is ridiculous. Nothing changed with the specs of Blu-Ray other than the security software to protect digital media.
So why hadn't they start producing the diodes back in Spring 2006?

Now not only does the Pal regions get screwed, but Japan is getting raped. 100,000 units for a country that isn't supporting the XBOX 360. They have shown their loyalty to Sony and this is the thanks they get?

U.S. getting 400,000 to 500,000 units. Is that enough? How many of those 400,000 will be 20Gb and how many will be 60gb? How many controllers and unwanted games will be crammed into a $1,000.00 bundle pack to make the situation worse? Not to mention a long line full of bratty kids poking and shoving making the whole launch a pathetic miserable spetical.
How many fans will have to go the holiday season still playing PS2?

Man! They're delaying ONLY the europe release just a few months because the company they trusted to make parts for the blu-ray have fallen behind. Hell Pal territories should be use to waiting, they always have to wait!

Being a big $ony fan I waited and waited and waited even turning down the opportunity to buy an Xbox 360 last Christmas. Now SCEE have delayed the PAL launch (what were you thinking Mr Harrison?) and screwed over Europe again I don't think I’ll bother when it's released next year. My PC is just as good as the cell/RSX combo and my next GFX card upgrade will give it far greater graphics power (not to mention functionality) than a closed system like the PS3. For me the high cost of PS3 meant it was a "maybe" purchase anyway and this delay now means if I do want a console for Christmas I'll just go for an Xbox 360 instead. Sorry Sony, after the PS2, PSP and now PS3 launch prioritisations , it shows you’ve taken the loyalty of your European customers completely for granted.
There are few titles that are exclusive to ps3, and many of those are not confirmed to be exclusive. people that say the ps3 has a better line up than 360 either only play videogames for metal gear solid/final fantasy or they have no idea of what they are talking about. it shocks me people believe ps3 has the better hardware as well, because it doesnt. dont get me wrong it did, but now it doesnt.

And about the 600$ price, you have a RIGHT to whine about that. Hell, EUROPE had a right to whine about it. they just chose not to. In my opinion, THEY SHOULD HAVE. I think the people who get a Xbox360 instead of a PS3 because of the wait are idiots. If you wanted a 360 in the first place and thought it was better, that's cool, but if you want a PS3 and are just going to buy the 360 cause it's the only next-gen out and the PS3 was delayed that's retarded. You were gonna buy the PS3 because of it's hardware, not when it came out, if you were you would have bought the 360 in the first place. They need to learn to have some patience.
This is how it would be. I never people complain when the PS2 or PSP launch, except for Europe for the PSP. The PS2 launch on March 4, 2000 in Japan, then October 26, 2000 for North America, and then Europe in November 24, 2000. This how the PS3 launch is going to be, but a little less longer for waiting. And for the PSP, it came out first in Japan, then everywhere else later on. Not every console has to do a world wide launch just becase the other one did. That just means you'll have to wait a little longer for Sony's console.
This is also time to save up more money.

The 500,000 units are only for the first day. Sony is gonna ship 1 to 1.2 million units through out the holiday season. Europe people sholuld be glad that they got delayed. When the PS3 launches in Europe you would have more than 1 million systems available to you. Otherwise you would have gotten like 30,000 units for all of Europe? You wouldn't be able to get one anyway. By that time you'd have enough saved for the system and all the games coming out this year and the next.

The guy goes at the end of the video "Sony is losing the war". Really, the console hasn't come out yet. I know its a blow to Sony in those countries, but who can say what happens when it finally launches. Like the saying goes, the "may have won the battle, but not the war". The war has yet to be seen in its fullest, aka all consoles are out on the market together for at least one year.

I ALSO live in the UK, and 360s are prominent in EVERY Games store and department you visit. Where are the Game stores in the UK that YOU go into where you don't see 360s?
In the UK, the 360 is selling very well despite your opinions of the console, and will probably have a good Christmas due to the PS3 delays.
Sad to see that Sony's losing its fans when it's mostly the companies who're not producing mass amounts of their product that Sony needs for the PS3. I myself still support Sony, it's not their fault. Even though it's already been almost a year (or already a year) since the 360's launch, giving me enough time to see how it is, I still wouldn't wanna buy one and wouldn't support it, seems like a money's waste. Hopefully Sony's companies can get back on track on production and give the fans what they want.
i already expected the delay. actually i was predicting it will get delay until next year (just for a cusion) because they haven't start building the PS3 console last month. i still believe that the PS3 will win this console war as long as they won't make the same mistake MS did on launch day (console defects).
PS2 is making huge sales against XBOX and XBOX 360...so don't panic guys. There are a lot of PS2 games to play while waiting. You might not get a PS3 on launch day but for sure you will have it by the end of the year. Buying a NEXT GEN is a huge investment, so better think twice before buying a XBOX 360 just because you can't wait.
You should see all the options as a game consumer. It doesn't mean the first Next Gen console (XBOX 360) that comes out in the market is the BEST! If you had waiting this long, i think it won't be bad to wait a little more. As what all XBOX fans boys are saying..."Heck PS3 is expensive"....well well if you lived in EUROPE this is your chance to save more money now that the launch day was moved to march 07.

the ps3 wont have any regional code so you could play a Japan ps3 in the UK with all your UK games and dvds. it wont matter. plus you can get it cheaper and faster then the US. just order it. although it will be sold out and you still might not see it till 2007 anyway. Im pritty sure the ps3 will have a language selection. pick your language and play your games.
