As early as December we already picked up rumblings that a Naruto-for-PS3 project was in the works. Well, rumors always appear out of nowhere, but this is not one of them. Unveiled in a press release from Namco Bandai is the Sony PlayStation 3 exclusive Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm which will come out in Europe this year - and in November, specifically.

It has only been a few weeks since Namco Bandai announced Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Heroes  2: The Phantom Fortress for the Sony PlayStation Portable. So what could be different with this  new PS3 exclusive Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm? Here are the features you can expect:]

  • battle in full 3d across massive environments
  • customize your fighting style with a selection of ninja moves
  • recruit two support actions
  • 25 Naruto characters to choose from
  • Head-to-head two-player
  • Hidden Leaf Village, Forest of Death

» Eh.

It's not that I don't think the PS3 deserves a Naruto game I just think they need something that rivals Rise of a Ninja (X360) I own both (PS3 and 360) and I got to tell the RoaN is the best Naruto platformer I have ever played it covers the story from the very beginning is visually immersing and has great gameplay mechanics I think the PS3 can do better than this either way I'll probably still be playing MGS 4 by then so I probably won't even notices this games release xP.

» Well...

It's abit dissapointing that RoaN only guys up to the end of the Chuunin exams......but I agree it's a VERY good game....

Which makes me think.....what could be different with this game ? Graphics look almost identical, as does the control/gameplay...and it's dealing with the exact same story, so nothing new there.....

I guess we'll see....

» Well

Where was the story in the US version? I honestly didn't know because I had already finished the series (with eng subs obviously), I agree this game can do just as well it's just Bandai Namco has been skimpy on the Naruto games, I mean look at the Uzimaki chronicles they've been awful and the Ultimate Ninja series is only good if you're using it for versus as story mode is a joke in that game.
