It's time to put a halt to those incessant rumors that there will be yet another delay for the release of the PS3 to Europe this March. Says Jack Tretton, SCE's chief executive, "We're equally strong in all three markets. We can't afford to sacrifice any one of them."Putting stress to the point that they are hellbent on finally getting their next-gen out there, the company remains firm that the March launch will definitely push through. No catch or anything there. Sony's Euro chief dismisses the rumors of delay, saying that it is "without foundation."
Well, this certainly is a good news to those awaiting fans in Europe. With only a couple of months to go, they'll soon join in the PS3 map. Hold on tight, guys!

Die ps3 hat scheiss grafik, wobei die Xbox 360 fast alle PS3 exclusive bekommt (Virtuafighter, Tekken, MGS, Final Fantasy - das sin nur ein paar von all den exclusives)
hopefully it will be released in the first week of march, or by march 9th at the latest. I can't wait to get my hands on this.
I've not been pining for it as much as i first thought when i found out that it was going to be delayed.
I'm glad its going to be here for March though. Hopefully they have made good use of the extra time and will have a flawless launch for us Euro's.
Yay!. Despite the fact that i wont be buying one this year anywya, it will be nice to finally see it in the flesh and see what its go to offer. And try it out a currys on some place
actually they said that it comes out on the 3th day of the 3th month so thats not end march
for as far as i know its region free, right ? for games anyway
why not import one from america, that will save you lots of money if the ps3 were to sell for 600 euro's. Looking at the dollar exchange rate to the euro.
at the moment that would be only 460euros for a ps3 60GB model. Excluding shipping costs ofcourse.

if you import a ps3 from america you won't be able to watch european blu-ray-movies 'cuz of the region-code. So it would be better to import one from Japan, they got the same region-code. (2)
Besides that it wouldn't be much cheaper because of taxes you'll usually have to pay.

YAY! The PS3 is coming to the UK in March... For definate. I hope it comes out on the 03/03/07 because that's two days before my birthday! It WILL be the best birthday ever! Unless all those eBay freaks get 'em! :'(

There is no money to be made on ebay anymore... so I wouldn't worry about that... I think that Sony is going to have a vast amount of hardware lined up for the euro launch.... walk down the street to your local superstore and buy a ps3.... how nice that would be
