PS3 Box Art Revealed?

PS3 Box Art as seen on Amazon.com


For those who are just raving to get their hands on a PS3 when it hits stores later this year, or for those who have pre-ordered it and wants to know what to expect, the box art for the PS3 is finally made available. If this box art turns out to be true, you'll now know you got the right thing once Sony's upcoming console comes in the mail.

Taken from Amazon.com, the box art seems to have grown as sleek as the item that will go inside the box. For one thing, it's a vast improvement from the plain blue box that carried PS2 when it was first released. This just goes to show that much more effort has finally been exerted for presentation this time around. But notice the PS3 in the picture...it still has the old controller in it. So we'll put this under the rumors folder first.

However, if indeed PS3 will be packaged with the sleek black box shown here, the only thing missing now would be a big red bow on it, and a label on the box with your name on it, and we're all set.

That has been out since just after E3 2005! Back when the "boomerang" controller was still thought to be the system's controller. It's also extremely obvious that teh cables and disc card were pasted there.

I remember seeing the article on here about box art that was fake posted on here sometime ago. I think this may be the same picture.



#4 I agree about the PS2 boxart. I liked it and it would be nice to see the PS3 box art just as nice. Really though it doesn't matter all that much as long as my PS3 works.

Not only does it still shows the old controller and some very badly edited cables and disc shown there but it's also the wrong color.



QJ should really have a more strict method of who they let to write their articles.

thats somthing i want to see, if only it was all black and just said "PlayStation 3" on the front. i like it more when it has no pictures of the console on the box, im sure some of you agree it gives some efect of it being hidden until you open it
