PS3 ad on quality time with the family

Sony continues its marketing push for the PlayStation 3 with this new ad, taking the family quality time angle this time around. How many of you out there actually played PS3 with your old man? I laugh at the thought of me and my dad playing, but maybe things go differently for you guys.

While the PS3 definitely has the family-usable features that you can enjoy with the rest of the family, I just think the ad did a better job of making dads think his boys will stop playing catch with him if he gets them a PS3. That's just me.

And what is up with that dog scene in the end?

:D

We have family gaming nights at our house, All of us, including bro's and sis, get to play together. Of course, we take turns. The games are usually: Little Big Planet Mario Kart Racing (Wii) Lego: Batman, etc (360) Its all good and fun. But when my smaller siblings are out, me, dad, and mom, play Gears Of War 2 together. Extremely fun. I usually loose to my dad though. He is AMAZING. My mom can beat me occasionally.. but that rarely happens. So, Family gaming= Definately a good thing. Oh, and the commercial made me laugh my ass off at the end.

My dad likes to play videogames

He used to play Ms. Pacman in the arcades when I was a kid. I'm 32 now and he could play for a long time on a single quarter! He used to even have a NES back in the day. The last time I seen him though, I showed him my N64. Since then I have bought PS2, Gamecube, Xbox, PSP, Wii and a PS3. I bet he would be amazed with what we have now but he is pretty broke most of the time and I don't think he keeps up with the new age gaming scene. He does like gaming though.

Huh,

My wife loves GH, so i had to buy another guitar so i could play my own console! Anyway, I notice how you Americans get the cool ads while us brits get really boring ones! and oh yeah, I'm getting annoyed that all the multiplatform games end with" for xbox360"!!?? come on sony, must do better!

It's was ok, not sure if they have yet, but they should show the store like browsing for movies and whatnot and I know LBP is a fantastic game but there's gotta be others.
