PS3 ad: Honey, it's a "movie download machine" |
Ó
Well for you boyfriends out there, maybe this will do the trick. Instead of introducing it as a third wheel gaming console, tell her it's a "new movie downloading machine" (basically adopt what Sony's doing to sell the PS3 to non-gamers). That way you'll still get to spend quality time with her and your PS3.
Although... that may not necessarily work in your favor, either. Here's how it could go wrong:

now, if only they could only bring that service to other countries....
im sure it would do well
yeah, like in canada maybe..
the x360,s netflix isn't there too.. I don't know what they all have against canada :S
It's because it's a whole new set of copyright and licensing agreements that they have to go through....
It took about 1.5 years for XBL download service to hit Canada, and only with a handful of movies...
who lives in canada?
I do.
They don't have this in Canada...
Sucks to be Canadian. They have this in Europe right?
I don't get movie download services, but I also don't have to pay to get a broken limb fixed, or any other type of medical treatment....
I will take that trade-off...
so will i.
It's clever.
I have a Japanese, European, and a U.S. account. Since I live in the U.S. I don't know if the PS Store can detect wether or not you live here and if you're able to download, just go to certain websites that let you create a virtual debit card and will convert your country's currency to US Dollars so you'll be in posession of a U.S. Debit card and can download whatever you want.
I do the same with the Japanese PS Store since their PS One Classics list embarrasses all others by about 150-200 titles. Just give it a try.
@phiyuku: No, the movie service still hasn't reached Europe.
@PimpFriedRice: I also have all three accounts, but if you live in Europe you can't access the US movie store at all unless you use aproxy or something. You can't even browse the movies. You can click on the movie logo but nothing happens.
to the ad: Why don't they use more of these types of ads. They're simple, funny and you get all the functions. Much better than their weird launch ads. I just say: "This is Living"... creepy....
sigh wot a utter BS advert so stupid and lame ooh "movie download machine" yeh rite $400 for a rubbish macine that does the same job as a PC, u can save tons of money by just bloddy renting a movie then paying that outragous ammount for a pile of crap that is the PS3.
hater
pity i'm british then, hopefully will get this soon!
