Prince of Persia movie now has a trailer, in cinemas May 2010 |
Ó
The Prince of Persia movie does seem to have more special effects and CGI than the average video game movie. Looks promising, but it's just too early to tell if the movie will be good. The film won't be sticking to the story 100% just like everything else, so don't expect it to. The trailer does show some wall-climbing and a few good stunts, so maybe it'll turn out better than some of the video game movies out there.
We'll know once the movie comes out - it'll be in cinemas May 27, 2010.

And @symbyosis..Resident Evil wasn't terrible...I think that broke the trend of vg movies being complete trash to people in hollywood noticing that video games have the potential to have some indepth stories and experiences...and cash cows

These are all movies based on video games that turned out sub par, or horrible.

Lots of people liked the Silent Hill movie, I've never seen it
I like the Resident Evil series

Resident Evil's story had little to nothing to do with what is known as the game's story, that Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine stumbled on some massive conspiracy to genetically alter humans.
I have yet to see a GOOD video game movie, I still stand by Silent Hill (though it had lots of changes from the game) was the better video game movie, and even then it's not by any means "good".
Its all opinion...though, and Street Fighter's only good acting was done by the late Raul Julia. How the hell can Guile talk with a french accent and be from the "oo-ess-ay" like Van Damme said. LOL.

to do it all justice they would have needed more time than is really justifiable for a movie. sub-zero's demise seemed reasonable to me, however i wish both the ninjas had more screen time. they were always my favorite characters...
but like you said, all opinion.

NO.
I also disagree. I thought some of the movies you listed were good.
This is all preference. I can't believe you mentioned the Tomb Raider series. Those movies did VERY WELL in the box office.

Mortal Kombat, I liked those movies, at least when i was younger, but now its easy to see many of the stunts and fake cgi, and the story is paper thin, and theres a reason why the actors in that movie aren't seen around lately.

Critics? That's a joke right? The only real critic is the general population.
