PS3 80GB - Image 1Playing limbo rock (how low can you go? how low can you go?!) in online retailer Amazon, the 80GB PS3 is now selling for US$ 349. Yeah that's 50 smackers off its price. Ooh, temptation.

Whether or not Sony is willing to bite the bullet and announce a price cut, Amazon seems to have no problem at all selling it for cheaper. Here's hoping Sony does make a PS3 price drop official, though.

Click through to the Amazon link below to check it out. We're not entirely sure how long the deal will last, so better be quick about it.

» Wal-Mart

has them for $399 with a $50 gift card, effectively making it $349

by sycoblast - 2009-01-27 07:29
» sell it at 360

JUST FOR THE FUN OF IT

» It's a start

$349 is a good price even though it' still a great value at $399. However people will still *****, cry, and complain that it's still too high. Yet most of them are still wanting backward compatibility along with it. THAT'S WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU WAIT TOO LONG FOR A PRICE CUT! Just take the plunge already. You're getting a system with longevity.

» There just doing it because everyone is

Cicrut City - is going out of business so they got 10% off on PS3 which makes them 349 . which is gay.

Walmart - has it at 399 plus a 50 dollar gift card. that makes it 349.

Amazon - has it because of the other two above.

You can get a PS3 for 349 anytime if your an employee and you get discounts at the store (store has to sell PS3 and not all get discounts).

I NEED TO GET ONE ASAP!!! I Pre-Ordered KIllzone 2 but I'm hoping to get a PS3 soon. lolz

» rate this comment badly

but you are sad, you are not buying outdated hardware here, and btw 100$ is not a big difference I worked minimum wage part time when i baught my ps it was 2 weeks of work. Now i understand majority of people have bills to pay but, majority of them get higher wages it just seems people dont know how to save up for things anymore.

» ill gradly rate your comment badly

but not hekynn's. some people have better things to spend $400 on, and $100 does make a difference.

if you have no bills to pay then can it, because you have no idea how much they can run. go ask your parents to see them, you'll probably be amazed at how much simple needs like electricity and water cost

it is true tho that people really dont know how to save up anymore. they just abuse the buy now pay later idea of the credit card
