Prepare to soar the skies: Lair is ready to ship |
Ó
It's official: Lair's development is over, and is now in manufacturing stage. The release date nailed last month won't be changing, said SCEA Associate Producer Ryan Hamlyn on the official PlayStation blog.
"North American version of Lair has completed its development and is now in manufacturing! That means that we are on track for our August 14 release date," said Hamlyn. As promised, North America will be getting the game firsthand. Localization for other territories is expected to take some time, with a September 26 tagged on the European release.
Once Rohn and his dragon goes worldwide, global leaderboards will be available for competitive players that want to pit their scores against other dragon riders. 'Til then, crushing hostile neighbors with heavy "fire power" to protect your homeland should be entertaining enough. As an alternative, feast your eyes on the new artwork above.

good thing there's no region lock.
yea thats bs.. im not from the UK but i dont see why some regions get the games 1st is pisses me off and im not even really interested in this game... btw im from NY so dont say haha dumb european or some stupid post like that
Shut up, you dumbass European, .....I just hate them so much
damn im in Aus so it will be delayed here, region bs pisses me off, thats why Hideo Kojima was kind enough to do a world wide release, ***** Lair im gonna wait it for MGS4
Pre-ordered US version, Europe gets it last again! lol
I just can't get excited over what I've seen of Lair's gameplay, even after watching the recent 'Making of Lair' documentary;
http://www.gamersyde.com/news_4719_en.html
Am I the only one? :|
thats what you get you *****in Aussie! put another shrimp on the barby or whatever!
Can't wait to get it!
This game looks like it has a bit of potential in it, definitely a must add to the old collection...
it looks phenamenol, game s never get more intense at this :
http://www.gametrailers.com/player/22654.html
i cant believe how much they managed to improve it with the latest build, the explosion and fire effects with hundreds of dragons all at 1080P with smooth 30FPS
just how did they manage to get it at 1080P is beyond me....the scale is huge
cant wait to get it
The really didnt achieve 1080p if its only 30fps, that would be more like 1080i
so a game that runs 720P 30Fps is actually 720i or 480P...plz
the pixel count for every frame at 1080P is 1920x1080+2073600 pixel about 2 Megapixel
thats 1080p alright
Its great its not region locked cause the Japanese get so much more.
European's hate yo ass even more all you do is whine and moan when we prove were better at games than you hehehe
Of course it isnt true 1080i, what i meant was that it would run just as good on 1080i. Both are 1920x1080, but 30fps on a 60fps output is only copying every frame twice, so it isnt really 1080p was my point. BTW, dont get me wrong I will be buying this game it looks sweet.
see now i have to decide if i want this or stranglehold since they are a week apart.damn then Heavenly sword is like 2 weeks after stranglehold. damn damn damn jamesssssss.....!
Not amazing imo, but it still looks good. Maybe it's down to preference, maybe it's the art style, but I'm just not blown away by Lair, but I do look forward to the reviews though, and I look forward to seeing it running on a 1080p HDTV, instead of watching gameplay videos on my PC.
as stated you dumb f*ck im from brooklyn new york but i hate when i want sh*t from other countries and also have to wait so i know how they feel go get a f*cking life.
jt,
You do realize that movies on BD are in 1080p and they are not at 60fps. Does that mean that they are only 1080i?
Didn't think so!
*****, *****, vagina ***** *****!!!!
Felt left out, had to join in the swearing coz thats all that seems to be written here.
I was just joking, cuz i read the part where you said you're not European......btw I'm European, but I live in US.
You're not the only one, I dont even think it looks good, I guess the graphics are pretty good, but thats it, flying dragons and shooting fire, wooooow
1080i (interlaced) made up of two frames, the first with odd lines and the second with even lines of picture information, put the two together and you get a single frame.
1080p (progressive) one complete frame.
Its only a way of displaying the source.
1080p at 60 fps is 60 complete frames.
1080i at 60 fps is 30 complete frames.
There :)
Also BD films are 24fps and gets converted to a higher framerate by the addition of duplicated frames. Usualy done by the player but can also be done by your tv/monitor if 24fps is not supported. Stop.
to download on the pss
What are you trying to say and whom are you saying it to?
Thats the same thing IO
This game might be good but I have my doubts. It just isnt anything i've ever really wanted in a game (after a long day at work: Boy am I beat, i just want to play video games but *sigh* none of them allow me to fly a dragon and shoot fire at things... oh yeah, I'll play spyro!)
But on a serious note, I can't wait for MGS4... lol
